Eligibility for Admissions in WBJEE Colleges
In order to apply for WBJEE 2024 for admission in Engineering, Pharmacy, and Architecture courses, candidates need to meet the eligibility criteria established by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam Board. To appear for the WBJEE 2024 exam, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:
- The candidates must have completed the 10+2 examination from a recognized Board of Education or institution.
- They must be Indian citizens and residents of West Bengal.
- The candidates must be at least 17 years old by December 31, 2022.
- General category candidates must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks, while SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PwD and other reserved category candidates must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks.
- Students must have passed the English subject with at least 30% marks.
- Candidates applying for B.Tech programs must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, and any of the subjects among Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Computer Application, or any vocational subjects. They must have scored a minimum of 45% aggregate in these three subjects, and reserved category candidates should have scored 40%. The qualifying exam must be recognized by the Central or state government of India.
- Aspirants seeking admission to the Marine Engineering course must be between 17 and 25 years of age. Candidates outside this age range will not be eligible for admission.
