Which is better, IEM Kolkata or HIT Kolkata?
Based on the WBJEE rankings, IEM ranks higher than Heritage(HIT), and comes just after JU and Shibpur BE college. But, when it comes to placements both have almost the same set of mass IT recruiters offering almost the same package, without any differentiation between the topper and the bottom of the class guy. If you want a better happening college life, i would say go for Heritage, as it has a sprawling campus with good infrastructure, which IEM lacks, being situated in the heart of the corporate center in the city.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria is that a student should be 12th passed from a recognised school/college. The admission procedure is done in both online and offline processes. Then you need to fill out an admission form with valid details as per the requirements mentioned in the form. Yes, there is an entrance exam for selection. The entrance exam name is the Common Entrance Test (CET). A person should have 60% or above in 12th standard and should also pass the entrance exam with ranks under 1000.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : There are two procedures of getting admission in this college. 1. Through JEEs and 2. Through Management Quotas. But since I took admission through WBJEE counselling, so don't have much knowledge about management quotas. The college takes admission through two JEEs; 1. JEE MAIN and 2. WBJEE. I took WBJEE, well the cutoffs for my branch was less than 2500. And different branches've different cut-offs.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : You have to get more than 60 percent in your 12th exam. Then You have to sit on Entrance exams like WBJEE and JEE Mains. You have to get at least 120 marks in Jee Mains so that you can get a chance to take admission in this college.
