IIT Ropar DST TIH - AWaDH Junior Research Fellowship

Indian Institute of technology at Ropar has launched the IIT Ropar DST TIH - AWaDH junior research fellowship 2023programme. The candidates who hold an undergraduate or a postgraduate degree are eligible to apply for the fellowship. The committee will select three candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) on a contractual basis. 

IIT Ropar will select the candidates based on their interview, academic excellence and work experience. They will receive a consolidated salary of INR 31,000 every month as per the government norms. Eligibility Criteria

The IIT Ropar DST TIH - AWaDH junior research fellowship, is a one-year programme. Interested candidates should have an excellent academic record. 

The applicants should meet one of the following requirement:

• They should have an undergraduate degree in chemical, mechanical, civil or polymer engineering/technology.
• They should have a postgraduate degree in an allied discipline with a qualified GATE/CSIR-NET score.

For candidates with an undergraduate degree:

• The candidates with a bachelor's degree should have pursued it for four years in chemical, mechanical or civil engineering.
• They should have secured a minimum of 75% or a 7.5 CPI with a qualified GATE score. 
• However, the graduates from IITs should have obtained a minimum of 8.0 CGPA. 

For candidates with another postgraduate degree:

• The applicants should have secured a minimum of 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA out of 10.
• IIT Ropar relaxes 5% marks for the SC/ST students. Therefore, they should secure a minimum of 55% marks.

IIT Ropar prefers candidates with the following qualities:

• They should have relevant experience in industry, academics or research.
• They should have good knowledge in the subjects of fluid mechanics and water treatment.
• They should be proficient in writing and communication.
• They should be able to multi-task effectively.

Fellowship Rewards

The selected fellows will receive INR 31,000 as a consolidated salary every month. They will get an opportunity to participate in one of the following projects:

• Assessment of the application of the cyber-physical system in water treatment in the process industries.
• Design and development of IoT enabled micro and nanobubble generators for industrial applications.
• Design of low cost hydrodynamic cavitation unit integrated with the cyber-physical system for industrial water treatment applications.

Step 3 - The candidates should duly fill in the application form, given on a word document file.

Step 4 - They should convert the necessary documents to a PDF file and attach them to the mail.
