University of Madras Merit Fellowship

The University of Madras fellowship program is provided by the University of Madras. The fellowship is completely reserved for post-graduate students studying at Madras University from semesters 1 to 4.

The scholarship award is up to INR 5,000 per semester. The application deadline for the scholarship is by June 30, 2023 (tentatively).

Madras University Merit Fellowship Eligibility Criteria

To avail the benefits of the Madras University Merit fellowship, the applicant should perform well in academics throughout the masters program.

• The applicant must be a Post-Graduate student at Madras University.
• The student must have secured at least 90 percent attendance from the end of the current semester.
• The candidate must have passed every semester with a minimum of 60 percent aggregate mark.
• The student has to attain at least 60 percent mark from the final exam of the current semester.
• Students benefiting any other scholarship are not eligible for the merit fellowship.

Note: All post-graduate students from every four semesters studying in Madras University can apply

University of Madras Merit Fellowship Application Process

Candidates are requested to apply offline after downloading the application form. 

1. The application form can be downloaded from the website of the University of Madras
2. Candidates are requested to choose the form carefully as for each semester separate application forms are there
3. After downloading the application form, enroll the details such as name, name of the department, course, marks, etc.
4. Students must submit the finished application form to the HOD of the respected department along with other required documents.

University of Madras Merit Fellowship Selection Process

The selection process is based on the following criteria

• All the post-graduate students who satisfy the eligibility criteria of the management will be provided with merit fellowship of the University of Madras

Important Documents

The documents required to apply for the scholarship are.

• Certificate showing 90 percentage attendance 
• One copy of Community Certificate
• An affidavit showing the last examination’s mark

Fellowship Rewards and Benefits

The candidate is entitled to the following benefits

• Eligible students will be rewarded with INR 5,000 per semester.
