Tripura scholarships are an initiative taken by the state government of Tripura. The central government and the state government provide several schemes to the students belonging to the weaker section of the society. It provides financial assistance to all the permanent residents of the state, Tripura. All the students, irrespective of their financial background can apply for the scholarships. All the selected students will be rewarded with different allowances.
Almost 10 scholarships are available under the Tripura scholarship portal. Various awards will be given based on their categories and class levels.

Pre-Matric SC Class 9 and 10 Scholarship
Pre-Matric SC scholarship is an initiative for the students of the SC category studying in classes 9 and 10. The government will provide financial assistance to the domiciled students of the state. The basic Tripura scholarship eligibility is, the annual income of the family should not exceed INR 2,50,000 per annum from all the sources. The candidate must be a regular student of the government institution. The selected students will be rewarded with a scholarship amount of INR 1,000. Additionally, disabled students will be rewarded with Tripura scholarship amount of up to INR 240.

The last date for applying for the pre-matric scholarship of classes 9 and 10 is January 31st, 2023.
Pre-Matric ST Scholarship
The government provides the pre-matric ST scholarship for the students domiciled in the state of Tripura. The students of the ST category pursuing classes 9 and 10 can apply for the scholarship for the purpose of financial assistance provided by the government. The basic Tripura scholarship eligibility is, the annual income of the family should not exceed INR 2,00,000 per annum from all sources. The candidate must be a regular student of the government institution. The selected students for the scholarship will be rewarded with Tripura scholarship amount of up to INR 1,000. An additional amount will also be designated for disabled students.

Post-Matric ST Scholarship
Post-Matric ST scholarship is an initiative provided to the domiciled students by the state government of Tripura. The sole aim of the government is to provide financial assistance to the students belonging to the scheduled tribes. The students studying between the Post-Matric level to Post-Doctoral level can apply for the scholarship. The candidate must have cleared their class 10 from a recognized university. The basic Tripura scholarship eligibility is, the annual income of the family should not exceed INR 2,00,000 per annum from all sources. The selected students will be rewarded with a scholarship amount of up to INR 1,200 per month. In addition to that, the specially challenged students will be rewarded with Tripura scholarship amount of up to INR 1,600 per annum.

Post-Matric SC Scholarship
Post-Matric SC scholarship is available on the Tripura scholarships portal. The domiciled students studying in class 11 or above can apply for the scholarship. It provides financial assistance to the students belonging to the scheduled caste. The candidate must have cleared their class 10 from a recognized university. The basic Tripura scholarship eligibility is, the annual income of the family should not exceed INR 2,50,000 per annum. The selected students will be rewarded with a scholarship amount of up to INR 1,200 per month. In addition to that, the disabled students will be given extra preference by providing them the allowances of Tripura scholarship amount of up to INR 1,600 per annum.

Post-Matric OBC Scholarship
Tripura OBC scholarship for post-matric students is an initiative provided by the state government of Tripura. The domiciled students of the state studying in classes 11 or above can apply for the scholarship. The candidate must have cleared their class 10 with an outstanding score. It provides financial assistance to the students of the scheduled tribes who are willing to pursue higher education. The basic Tripura scholarship eligibility is, the annual income of the student’s family should not exceed INR 1,50,000 per annum from all sources. The selected students will be rewarded with Tripura scholarship amount of up to INR 750 per month. Some extra allowances will also be given to the disabled students. Additionally, the reimbursement amount will also be allotted.

Dr.B.R. Ambedkar Post-Matric Scholarship for EBC students
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar post-matric scholarship for EBC students comes under the Tripura portal. The domiciled students of the state belonging to the economically backward class can apply for the scholarship. The students must have cleared their class 10 with an amazing score. The students studying in class 11 or above can receive the services provided by the central and the state government. The basic Tripura scholarship eligibility is, the annual income of the student’s family should not exceed INR 2,50,000 from all sources. The selected students will be rewarded with Tripura scholarship amount of up to INR 750 per month. Special preference with extra allowances will be given to the disabled students. Some additional reimbursement will also be allotted to the selected students.

Pre-Matric SC Cleaning and Health Hazard Scholarship
Pre-Matric SC cleaning and health hazard scholarship is one of the schemes initiated by the state government of Tripura. The students engaged in different services like cleaning and maintaining the health hazards can apply for the scholarship. The domiciled students of the state studying in classes I to X can receive the services provided by the government. The selected students from the scavengers group will be rewarded with Tripura scholarship amount of INR 700 per month for at the most 10 months. Some extra allowances will also be given to the selected students of INR 750 per annum. Especially, disabled students will be given more preference.

NEC Merit Scholarship
NEC merit scholarship is an initiative provided by the Ministry of Development of the North Eastern Region. The candidates must hold a degree in M.Phil/ Ph.D./ Postgraduate/ Diploma for availing of the services provided by the scholarship portal. All of the courses must be cleared with at least 60% marks by the known university. The domiciled students of the state, Tripura are also eligible for the scholarship. The basic Tripura scholarship eligibility is, the annual income of the candidate’s family should not exceed INR 8,00,000 from all sources. The selected students of the scholarship will be rewarded with Tripura scholarship amount of up to INR 30,000 per annum.

Lakshya- Chief Minister’s Special Scholarship
Lakshya- Chief minister’s special scholarship is an initiative provided by the government of India. The domiciled students of the state, Tripura can also apply for the scholarship. It provides financial assistance to the students who have cleared their UPSC examination with an awesome score. The basic Tripura scholarship eligibility is, the annual income of the candidate’s family should not exceed INR 10,00,000 per annum. The selected candidates from the group will be rewarded with Tripura scholarship amount of up to INR 6,00,000 per annum.
Tripura Government Merit-cum-Means Scholarship Scheme
Tripura government merit-cum-means scholarship scheme is an initiative provided by the state government of Tripura. The candidate must be pursuing Post-Graduation from a well-known university. The students must have cleared their class 12 with an outstanding score. The students belonging to the weaker section of the society are eligible for the scholarship. The students belonging to the general category will be eligible if they are acquiring 55% marks in their academics. Similarly, the students of SC/ST will be eligible if they are acquiring 50% marks in their academics. The selected students will be rewarded with Tripura scholarship amount of up to INR 160 per month.

How to Apply on the Tripura Scholarship Portal?
The candidates can apply online through the Tripura scholarship portal. Given below are the steps of the application process:
Step 1: The candidate should visit the official Tripura Scholarship Portal.
Step 2: The first-time applicants should register themselves into the portal.
Step 3: After the registration process, the candidates can log in for the Tripura scholarship and click on the start application button.
Step 4: Next, the students should fill in the necessary details and upload all the relevant documents.
Step 5: Tick on the terms and conditions button by providing the OTP generated, and click on the preview button.
Step 6: If all the details filled in are correct on the preview screen, click on the submit button to end the process.
How to Apply on the National Scholarship Portal?
Few of the scholarships registered under the NSP can be applied through the National Scholarship Portal. They should first complete the registration process before the Tripura scholarship log-in procedure for any of the particular scholarships. The students should fill in all the necessary details and upload the relevant documents. Take a long preview of the information filled in and submit the application form to end the procedure.
