TN E District Scholarship

TN e district is a dedicated portal launched by the government of Tamil Nadu. The Department of Backward Classes Welfare and the Department of Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare implement the Tamil Nadu e-district scholarship under the state government. The scholars will receive monetary rewards and other benefits from the government. The institutes should submit the renewal applications for the ADW post-matric scholarship for classes XI and XII, ITI, industrial and pre-matric scholarships for classes IX and X within the last date.

There are three types of TN e district scholarships available on the portal. They are: 

• BC, MBC scholarship
• Adi dravidar tribal welfare scholarship for post-matric students
• Adi dravidar and tribal scholarship for students pursuing pre-matric, HSC and ITI courses 

The last date to apply for the TN e district scholarship was March 15, 2023 (tentatively).

TN E District Scholarship Eligibility Criteria 

The TN e district scholarship is exclusively available to Tamil Nadu students belonging to the BC, MBC, and adi dravidar and tribal welfare communities. The government offers financial aid to students from class I and above through the scholarship. The TN e district scholarship eligibility criteria are as follows: 

• The candidates should be native residents of Tamil Nadu.
• They should belong to the BC, MBC and adi dravidar & tribal welfare
• They should be pursuing pre-matric, post-matric, ITI or industrial courses.
• The candidates should be studying in a government or government-aided institution.
• They should have scored a minimum of 50% marks in their previous examination.
• Their parental income should not exceed INR 2,00,000 per annum from all sources.
• The candidates should not be receiving awards from any other scholarship at the time of application.

TN E District Scholarship Rewards 

The Tamil Nadu government grants financial aid to the students through the TN e district scholarship 2023. Besides monetary rewards, the government also covers the students' fees and provides other benefits such as free cycles, textbooks, special coaching classes, etc. The students can also avail of hostel facilities through the TN e district scholarship. 

The state government selects ten outstanding students pursuing classes XI and XII and provides them with an opportunity to study in reputed private higher secondary schools. They also offer a lump-sum amount to help law graduates set up their practices. The candidates can click on the ADW scholarship to know the benefits offered to the adi dravidar students under the TN e district scholarship.

How to Apply for the TN E District Scholarship? 

The candidates should ensure they meet the requirements before applying for the TN e district scholarship 2023. The eligible students should approach the head of the institution (principal/ headmaster) to apply for the TN e district scholarships on their behalf. Given below are the stepwise procedure to apply for the scholarship: 

Step 1 - The head of the institution should submit the applications online for the TN e district scholarship on behalf of the students.

Step 2 - After applying online, the principal/ headmaster should forward the hard copies of the students' documents to their respective district office.

Step 3 - The officials will forward the records to the directorate after completing the TN e district scholarship certificate verification.

Step 4 - The candidates will receive the TN e district scholarship amount after the approval of the directorate.

The candidates should submit the mandatory documents while applying for the TN e district scholarship. The documents should contain accurate and factual data. The required documents are as follows: 

• Marksheets
• Date of birth
• Passport size photograph
• Caste certificate
• Income certificate

How to Track the TN E District Scholarship Status? 

The applicants can check their application status on the TN e district scholarship portal. They can track the status by providing their academic year and student ID. The stepwise process to check the TN e district scholarship status are as follows: 

Step 1 - The candidates should visit the official TN e district scholarship portal and click on the applied scholarship. 

Step 2 - Next, they should click on the status button on the top left of the screen. 

Step 3 - The candidates should provide the academic year, student ID and click on the view status button.

How to Recover the TN E District Scholarship Login Password? 

The institutions can log in to the e district scholarship TN portal using their registered username and password. They must retain the login credentials safe and secure. If they lose the credentials, they can retrieve the TN e district scholarship login password by following these steps: 

Step 1 - The head of institution/ officials should visit the TN e district scholarship portal.

Step 2 - They should click on the scholarship and then click on forgot password. 

Step 3 - The officials should enter their registered user name, email ID, mobile number and click on submit.

(OR) 

Step 1 - The officials should click on the link ‘if you know your OTP click here’. 

Step 2 - Next, they should enter the registered user name, email ID, OTP number and click on the submit button.

Note: 

• Only the officials and the head of institutions can log in to the TN e district scholarship portal.
• The DBCWO will send the OTP/ new password to the registered email ID and mobile number.
• The officials can enter the OTP to complete the TN e district scholarship login procedure.
