The Tata capital pankh scholarship programme is an initiative of Tata Capital Limited. The students belonging to the economically weaker section of the society can apply for the scholarship. The sole aim of the group is to financially support the students for their higher education. The students studying in classes 6 to 12, diploma, polytechnic, and undergraduate (general or professional) programs can avail the services provided by the Tata group. Almost 80% of the total amount paid for the tuition fees will be refunded to the students. Bringing positive change in society is also the main motive of the Tata group.

Note: The Tata capital pankh scholarship programme application for 2023 still needs to be updated. However, the expected date for 2023 will be declared soon.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate should ensure that they are fulfilling all the requirements. The selected students from the different categories can utilise the services provided by the Tata capital pankh scholarship programme 2023. Some of the necessary conditions are as follows:

  • They must be a permanent resident of the country (i.e India).
  • In some of the categories, the students who have lost either/both of their parents will be prioritised. 
  • They must be enrolled in their ascertained category (like the students studying in the professional degree courses should be enrolled into the classified fields of the courses, the students studying in the undergraduate program should be enrolled in the specific field of the courses, the students studying in class 6 to 12 should be enrolled in the specific classes and likewise for the students studying in Diploma/Polytechnic courses).
  • They must have scored at least 60% marks in the previous qualified final exams.
  • The annual income of the family should not exceed INR 4,00,000 from all the sources.
  • The students of the employees of the Tata group/ buddy4study will not be eligible.

Rewards

The candidates from their ascertained groups can utilise the services provided by the Tata capital pankh scholarship programme. Almost 80% of the total amount paid for the tuition fees will be refunded to the selected students. Mentioned below are the rewards as per the different class categories:

  • For classes 6 to 10, almost 80% of the total amount will be refunded/paid by the Tata group, or up to INR 9,000 will be rewarded (whichever is less).
  • For classes 11 and 12, almost 80% of the total amount will be refunded/paid by the Tata group, or up to INR 12,000 will be rewarded (whichever is less).
  • For the Diploma/Polytechnic students, almost 80% of the total amount will be refunded/paid by the Tata group, or up to INR 15,000 will be rewarded (whichever is less).
  • For the Undergraduate students, almost 80% of the total amount will be refunded/paid by the Tata group or INR 20,000 will be rewarded (whichever is less).
  • For the Professional degree students, almost 80% of the total amount from the tuition fees will be refunded/paid by the Tata group, or up to INR 50,000 will be rewarded (whichever is less).

How to Apply?

The candidates can apply online for the Tata capital pankh scholarship programme. The students who are applying for the first time should register themselves into the scholarship portal. They can apply for the scholarship by using the steps given below:

Step 1: Go to the official webpage of the scholarship.

Step 2: The first time applicant sholud register themselves into the buddy4study portal.

Step 3: Log in with your registered ID and Password.

Step 4: Now, the student will be diverted to the official scholarship form page.

Step 5: Click on the Start button to begin the process.

Step 6: Fill in all the necessary details on the application form page.

Step 7: Upload all the essential documents.

Step 8: Tick on the Terms and Conditions button and take a long preview of the details filled.

Step 9: If all the details are correct on the preview screen then click on the Submit button to end the procedure.

Selection Criteria

The selection criteria of the Tata capital pankh scholarship programme has multiple steps. The candidates should ensure that they are eligible, before the application process. The selection criteria of the scholarship are as follows:

  • The initial nomination will be based on the academic merit and financial background of the student.
  • A proper telephonic interview will be organised for the selected students.
  • Later, the final interview will be held by the selection committee for the final stage.
  • Almost 50% of the seats are reserved for female candidates.
  • Some extra oppression will be given to the students belonging to the ST/ SC/ Disabled category
