Next Genius Scholarship

The Next genius scholarship offers opportunities to outstanding Indian students aspiring to pursue undergraduate studies in the US. It is also known as the NextGen scholarship. The selected students will get a chance to pursue a four-year degree at selected institutions in the US. The foundation will cover a part of the whole fee. However, the foundation will not sponsor the living and other expenses of the selected candidates. The applications for the next genius scholarship are available from May to November. 

Note: Next genius scholarship application for 2023 still needs to be updated. However, the expected date for 2023 will be declared soon.

Next Genius Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

The Next Genius scholarship programme aims to recognise and award over 100 deserving students in 2023-24. Students who have cleared the class XII board exams and aspire to pursue an undergraduate degree in the US can apply to the programme. Listed below are the next genius scholarship eligibility criteria are as follows:

• The candidates should have cleared the class XII board exam.
• Students who are currently in class XII or GAP year can also apply to the Next Genius scholarship programme.
• The candidates should hold one of the following citizenship:
• Indian citizens
• Foreign nationals residing in India
• Indian citizens living overseas
• Overseas Citizen of India cardholder
• They should aspire to study in one of the partner institutions. 
• The candidates should have good language skills.

Rewards of Next Genius Scholarship

The Next Genius foundation provides the next generation scholarship. It is a charitable trust established in 2014 to build a strong community of young intellects and connect them to some of the best institutions in the United States. The foundation will offer the scholars a full or partial Next Genius scholarship amount to pursue an undergraduate degree. However, the candidates should be capable of handling the living and other expenses for the duration of their stay in the US. They should afford up to INR 10,00,000 every year for food, housing, books, flights, insurance, etc.

The students chosen for the next genius scholarship should have a strong desire to study in partner US institutions. The foundation requests the candidates to research the colleges and enrol in a college that best fits their aspirations and ideologies. The list of the colleges in the US are as follows:

How to Apply for the Next Genius Scholarship?

The students applying for the Next Genius scholarship should ensure they meet all the requirements. The candidates should pay a registration fee of INR 500. Upon paying the registration fee, they will obtain an Instamojo payment ID on their registered email ID. Given below are the stepwise process to apply for the Next Genius scholarship 2023:

Step 1: The candidates should visit the official next genius scholarship website.

Step 2: They should click on the apply now button available on the top of the screen.

Step 3: The applicants should pay INR 500 towards registration by clicking on the pay registration fees button.

Step 4: Next, they should note the Instamojo ID sent to their registered email ID.

Step 5: The candidates should fill in the registration form with the required details.

Step 6: After completing the registration form, the candidates will receive the login credentials. Therefore, they should log in with their credentials and complete the profile.

Note: The candidates should undertake the online critical thinking test and answer all the next genius scholarship questions. The candidates who clear the test will be eligible for the selection process.

Selection Process for the Next Genius Scholarship

The committee will select the candidates who possess the required qualities. However, they will undergo multiple levels of selection. Finally, after a rigorous selection process, the foundation will award the scholars with the next genius scholarship in a public ceremony. Below are the details of the selection process. The selection committee of the Next Genius scholarship programme expects the candidates to have the following qualities:

• The candidates should have a positive approach and strong leadership qualities.
• They should have a strong desire to be a part of the next genius scholarship community and give back to society after completing the programme.
• The candidates should have excellent problem-solving techniques and should be a  team-player.

After scrutinising the applications, the committee will choose the candidates after four stages of selection. The four different stages are as follows:

Stage 1: The candidates should attempt an online critical thinking test. The students who clear the next genius scholarship test will move to the next stage.

Stage 2: The official will explain to the shortlisted candidates about the colleges, courses and the various next genius scholarship schemes. 

Stage 3: The shortlisted students should submit a duly filled college application form to the college of their choice.

Stage 4: Lastly, the candidates are invited to attend a personal interview in Mumbai. The foundation will award the next genius scholarship 2021 to the selected students in a public ceremony.
