ISCA Fellowship

ISCA fellowship is an opportunity provided by the ISCA group. A lifetime member of the ISCA can further nominate three people for the election of the association. Advancing and Promoting the cause of Science in India, recognizing and supporting excellence in scientific research, technologies and innovations are the sole aim of the ISCA group. The selected fellows will be rewarded with different awards. Proper achievement into the mentioned fields will be the preferable criteria for the fellowship.

Note: ISCA fellowship application for 2023 still needs to be updated. However, the expected date for 2023 will be declared soon.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates should make sure that they are fulfilling all the requirements. All the lifetime members of the ISCA can avail of the services if they pass certain conditions. The conditions of ISCA fellowship are as follows:

• A candidate must be a lifetime member of ISCA with a minimum membership of 15 years.
• They must be in a proper term for at least 3 years.
• Indian Scientist or an NRI having Indian citizenship having excellent research work can appeal for the fellowship.

Rewards

The selected fellows will be rewarded with various awards.

How to Apply?

The candidates can apply online for the ISCA fellowship. They can apply for the fellowship by using the steps given below:

Step 1: Go to the official website of the ISCA group.

Step 2: Then, search for ISCA fellowship in the search engine. The official website of the ISCA fellowship can be viewed here as well.

Step 3: After finding the fellowship, fill in all the required details in the application form along with the necessary documents.

Step 4: submit the form as prescribed by the other two nominees along with the signed certificate.

Essential Documents

The fellows should upload all the relevant documents while applying for the ISCA fellowship 2023. The supporting documents are as follows:

• Membership card
• Citizenship certificate

Selection Criteria

The selection criteria of the ISCA fellowship has multiple steps. The candidates should ensure that they are eligible, before the submission of the application form. The different stages are mentioned below:

• The General Secretary of the association will prepare a list of the selected candidates.
• The list will be published on the official website of the ISCA fellowship.
• The hard copy of the documents would be sent to the Scrutiny Committee in advance (i.e one month before the process starts).
• Further, the candidates will be hand-picked by the Fellowship Scrutiny Committee.
• The selected candidates will be again scrutinized by the council.
• The committee member has a right to remove any name from the list but they cannot add any other recommended name.
• All the candidates pursuing science subjects can apply (Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Medical Sciences, etc).

Terms and Conditions

The fellows should make sure that they are agreeing with all the terms and conditions. The terms and conditions for ISCA fellowship are as follows:

• The selected candidate will be eligible for using the title FISC with the pursuing qualification.
• All the selected candidates have to submit the certificate signed by the two ISCA members.
• In all, 20 members will be selected for the fellowship. At a minimum, one member will be selected from every section.
• If the nominee wants to withdraw the application, a proper letter must be drafted to the General Secretary by Sept 25th, 2021 tentatively.
