IIT Ropar department of chemistry Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) invites applications from candidates holding a postgraduate degree in chemistry or material sciences. The selected fellow will work in a research project sponsored by the DST-SERB as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF). However, it is a temporary role, and the management will review the fellow's performance periodically. Eligibility Criteria of IIT Ropar Department of Chemistry Junior Research Fellowship
The candidates with a strong desire to participate in a research project can apply to the IIT Ropar department of chemistry junior research fellowship. The institute will contact only the shortlisted applicants through email. Interested candidates should ensure they meet the following requirements:
- They should hold a master's degree in chemistry or materials science.
- The applicants should have obtained a minimum of 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA out of 10.
- The SC/ST students should have secured at least 55% marks to apply for the fellowship.
- The candidates should obtain qualified marks in the CSIR-UGC NET or GATE
Rewards of IIT Ropar Department of Chemistry Junior Research Fellowship
The institute will select the candidates based on the work experience and their performance in the interview. The management will select one deserving candidate for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF). He/she will get an opportunity to participate in a research project called "development of porous Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) for catalytic conversion of carbon dioxide to fine chemicals'. The fellow will receive a salary as per the DST norms, and can register for a PhD degree at IIT Ropar as per the institute's rules.
