The Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur's Junior Research Fellow (JRF), is a temporary position, and the selected candidate is hired on a contractual basis. Eligibility Criteria
IIT Kanpur will reject the candidates who do meet the minimum requirements. Interested candidates should hold a BTech or an MTech degree to apply for the IIT Kanpur department of computer science and engineering junior research fellowship 2023. The other eligibility criteria are as follows:
- The candidates should have secured a minimum of 75% marks or equivalent in the BTech or MTech degree.
- IIT Kanpur will prefer candidates with a valid GATE score and good knowledge of the C/C++ language.
- The committee will also favour candidates with experience in MPI (Message Passing Interface) programme.
Fellowship Rewards
The selected candidates will get an opportunity to participate in a project sponsored by the SERB at the IIT Kanpur's department of computer science and engineering. The IIT Kanpur department of computer science and engineering junior research fellowship 2023 will initially appoint the candidate for one year. He/ she will receive an amount of INR 31,000 per month.

Selection Criteria
The institute will select one candidate for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position after a rigorous process. The steps involved in the selection process of the IIT Kanpur department of computer science and engineering junior research fellowship are as follows:
Step 1 - IIT Kanpur will shortlist the candidates based on the applications sent to them.
Step 2 - The shortlisted candidates should attend an online interview.
Step 3 - The institute will select the appropriate candidate based on their performance in the interview.
Note: The institute will not repay the candidate's Travelling Allowance (TA) and Dearness Allowance (DA).
