ICANN Fellowship

The goal of the ICANN fellowship program is to give an opportunity to the candidates that belong to underrepresented communities in order to strengthen the diversity in the community. The ICANN fellowship was initiated for those passionate in the management of Internet Protocol numbers and Domain Name System root. The ICANN fellowship last date to apply for the community forum in Washington, USA is March 31st, 2023.

ICANN Fellowship Eligibility Criteria

ICANN Fellows do not require detailed academic criteria for being eligible. Further information about the eligibility is as follows:

• Candidate must be at least 21 years old.
• The candidate must be interested or already engaged in the components of ICANN's work in building policies, the operations of the Domain Name System and the security and stability of the Internet.
• The candidate must finish mandatory ICANN learn courses.
• The candidate must not be associated with any other ICANN supported travel programs.

ICANN Fellowship Rewards

The candidates do not receive any cash reward in the scheme but, the selected fellows are assigned a mentor, exposed to the workings of the ICANN community, and are trained across various areas of knowledge and skill building before, during or after the ICANN Public Meeting. The candidates also receive travel assistance to attend the meeting.

ICANN Fellowship Application Process

Candidates have to apply online for the fellowship. The detailed application and registration procedure is mentioned below:

• Supporting documents are required to be uploaded.
• The application and the documents must be submitted within the application window.
• Active but incomplete applications will not be considered once the window is closed.
