The Indian Global Higher Education is the forum behind the College Board India Scholars Program. The forum was attended by heads of universities and schools around the world. Topics related to Admissions to Indian University and candidates enrollment, which includes smooth graduation of students from 12th to Higher Education. The deadline for applying for this scholarship is 31 December, 2020.

The College Board launched the College Board India Scholars Program at the event which would help the students who have cash restrictions due to the family income but has high potential to achieve greater in life. The College Board has engaged with Buddy4Study to formulate the scholarship. There is a separate Scholarship Aptitude Test (SAT) for being shortlisted. Students can take them during the 12th grade. The cutoff for being eligible is to score a minimum of 1350 out of the total 1600 points.

There are various colleges that have joined this alliance in the motive of helping underprivileged children to attain higher education. As per the list obtained from the Colleges Board forum website, some of the universities participating in the scholarship program are,

  • Krea University
  • M.S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences
  • Shiv Nadar University
  • GD Goenka University

The Buddy4Study group has taken the entire charge of shortlisting the candidates and also subsidizing the SAT fees for the underprivileged children. There are eligibility criteria set for the students in which there are various sections of shortlisting.

College Board India Scholars Program Eligibility Criteria:

The common eligibility criteria among all the sections are:

  • The candidate should have taken SAT in the 2020-21 academic session.
  • The applicant has to be the Best Performer in SAT scoring the minimum score of 1350 / 1600.
  • The candidate has to fill the application and enroll in the participating Indian Universities.

Section Wise Eligibility Criteria:

A 90% rate-cut on the exam fee and a 100% waiver in the tuition fee scholarship:

  • The candidate has to be a resident of India
  • The applicant has to be a student in 11th or 12th standard.
  • The income of the family has to be below 8 Lakhs per annum.

Rewards and Benefits for the scholarship:

The shortlisted candidate is entitled to the following benefits:

  • A maximum of 100% waiver in the tuition fee.
  • The original fee amount for the Scholarship is INR 6832.00
  • The discounted fee for the candidate falling under the above bracket is INR 683.00

A 50% rate-cut on the exam fee and a $1500 scholarship:

  • The candidate has to be a resident of India
  • The applicant has to be a student in 11th or 12th standard.
  • The income of the family has to be between 8 Lakhs to 15 lakhs per annum.

Rewards and Benefits for the scholarship:

  • A 1500$ waiver in the tuition fee.
  • The original fee amount for the Scholarship is INR 6832.00
  • The discounted fee for the candidate falling under the above bracket is INR 3416.00

Application Process for College Board India Scholars Program:

The step-by-step application process is listed below:

  • Login Via E-mail or the Google Account.
  • Before filling the application form the applicant has to make sure that he/she is eligible for the scholarship.
  • When you proceed to the next page, there are various sections which require a lot of personal information.
  • Make sure all the mandatory marked boxes are filled.
  • After all the details are put in click on the checkbox at the end of the page which says that all Terms and Conditions will be followed.
  • Click on the Submit & Pay button.
  • A voucher code is generated which is put in while paying the registration charges.
  • The candidate is taken to the Payment Page from where he has to choose the desired mode of payment and transact the amount.
