Bihar ITICAT Eligibility Criteria 2025
Students must check all the conditions of the Bihar ITICAT Eligibility Criteria 2025 before they fill out the ITICAT application form 2025. It should be noted that the ITICAT eligibility criteria are only for those students who are appearing for the ITICAT exam 2025.
ITICAT stands for the Industrial Training Institute Competitive Admission Test. ITICAT exam is conducted for students who wish to get admitted to various ITI courses in the state of Bihar.
ITICAT is an offline test that lasts 2 hours and 15 minutes. There are 150 questions for 300 marks in the ITICAT exam 2025.

ITICAT Eligibility Criteria 2025: Educational Qualifications
The candidates should meet the following educational qualifications as per the ITICAT eligibility criteria 2025 if they wish to appear for the exam. The conditions for the same are as follows.
- Candidates must have a standard 10 degree from either Bihar board or CBSE to appear for the ITICAT 2025.
- Candidates can also apply for the ITICAT exam 2025 if they are appearing for their class 10th exams.
- Students must have physics, chemistry, and mathematics as compulsory subjects in their 10th standard or SSC level.
- It is a must that students secure passing grades in the three above-mentioned subjects to appear for the ITICAT 2025.
- For non-technical applicants, a standard 10th (SSC) degree is a must as per the ITICAT eligibility criteria 2025. In addition, it is not mandatory to have science subjects for non-technical students.
- For students applying for technical courses, having an SSC degree with science subjects is a must as per the ITICAT eligibility criteria 2025.

Bihar ITICAT Eligibility Criteria 2025: Age Limit
As per the Bihar ITICAT Eligibility Criteria 2025, a candidate should meet the following age limit condition to be eligible to sit for the ITICAT exam for 2025.
Lower Age Limit
- For most courses offered under the ITICAT, a candidate must be of at least 14 years of age (as of Aug 2025) to apply for ITICAT 2025.
- A candidate must be of at least 17 years of age if he/she is applying for the program of Mechanic Tractor/ Mechanic motor vehicle.
Upper Age Limit
- As per the ITICAT eligibility criteria 2025, there is no upper age limit for students to apply for the test.

ITICAT Eligibility Criteria 2025: Domicile Requirements
ITICAT is a Bihar-exclusive exam. Therefore there are certain conditions as per the ITICAT eligibility criteria 2025 regarding the domicile norms. The conditions regarding the same are as follows.
- The students must be a citizen of India at the time of applying for the ITICAT exam 2025.
Domicile Requirements:

The parents or husband/wife of the candidate must be residents of Bihar to apply for the ITICAT exam.

The candidate must have someone (parents or husband/wife) who is a refugee in Bihar as of 1 Aug 2025.
OR

Candidates' parents/husband/wife must be Bihar Government employees.

In case the candidates' parents or husband/wife is a central government employee, they must be posted in Bihar at the time of applying for the ITICAT exam.
OR

For married female applicants, their husbands must be posted in Bihar for them to apply for the ITICAT as per the ITICAT eligibility criteria 2025.
ITICAT Application Form 2025 Fee
The ITICAT application form 2025 has been made available on the official website of BCECE from Mar 6, 2025. Students can apply for the ITICAT exam by paying the application fee only after meeting the Bihar ITICAT Eligibility Criteria 2025.
