To secure a seat in any University/College the candidate is required to have a minimum aggregate score of 50% in 10+2 exams from any recognized board in India. For Central Government-aided universities, the candidate is required to acquire a good rank in the National Council for  Hotel Management and Catering Technology JEE Conducted by National Testing Agency.   • Admission in private institutions:
    • The candidate’s admission will be based on the relevant entrance test conducted by the institute and personal interview, although different institutes have different eligibility criteria.
    • The candidates will be asked to fill the admission form and the procedures will continue further.
    • The admission, however, will be subject to the availability of seats.
  • Admission in Institutes of Hotel Management around the country:
    • Admission in IHM will be based on the Joint Entrance Examination (NCHMCT JEE) conducted by the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT).
    • The examination will be in a computer-based mode, application for which is INR 800/-.
    • Students are compulsorily required to have cleared their 10+2 English exam to appear for the exam.
    • After successfully clearing the exam the students will have to appear for the interview round held at various IHMs in the country.

Entrance exam pattern of NCHMCT  for B.Sc Hotel Management:

National Council for  Hotel Management and Catering Technology JEE(NCHMCT) is an entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency for candidates who are willing to get admitted into government-aided Hotel management Institutes.

  • The exam will be for 3 hours and will be conducted online.
  • Negative marking is applicable.
  • The cut-off and the ranks obtained by the students will be declared after evaluating the marks. The exam is divided into 5 sections:
