JEE Main 2023 Result - Calculation Methodology
The JEE Main 2023 Results Paper 1 will be calculated along with the NTA scores by normalization of the raw marks obtained by the candidate. The JEE Main exam takes place in shifts. Hence, the normalization procedure will be based on the percentile score and will help to adjust the difficulty level of different slots of the examination. Percentile scores are based on the collective performance of all candidates appearing for the examination. NTA will convert raw marks into the percentile scores that will be used to create a category-wise rank list. Marks obtained by candidates will be transformed into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each session of examinees. The calculation will also take place considering up to seven decimal places which will reduce the chances of ties.
The calculation process will be based on:
- Raw Scores of every candidate
- Percentiles Scores in each of the three subjects (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry) and the total score.
JEE Main Results 2023 Paper 1 Expected Cut Off
The minimum score or the cut off required to qualify for the JEE Advanced examination 2023 varies from category to category. Candidates must meet the cut off results or score higher than the required marks to answer the JEE Advanced 2023. JEE Main 2023 Results Paper 1 Cut off marks are displayed in the table below. JoSAA will announce the NIT, IIIT, and GFTIs admission cut off requirement based on the JEE Main 2023 score.
