What is TANATA?
Full form of TANATA is Tamil Nadu Aptitude Test in Architecture. It is a state-level entrance exam that is being conducted by the Anna University for admitting the candidates in the B.Arch course under Anna University. The seats offered by the University will be under Government and Management Quota both. In order to qualify TANATA 2021, the candidates have to clear both papers of the exam.

TANATA 2021 Eligibility
Before appearing for any exam, candidates need to be well versed with eligibility criteria, such that any important events related with eligibility criteria should not be missed out at any circumstances. Candidates who are interested in applying for TANATA 2021 should satisfy minimum TANATA 2021 eligibility criteria for the exam set by the Anna University, Tamil Nadu. Candidate should have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% aggregate. In addition, a candidate should have scored that keeping Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
For Diploma Holders
Candidates must have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate in 10+3 in Diploma in any stream with Mathematics as one of the subjects. In addition, a candidate should also have done schooling of atleast 10 years with Mathematics as a subject.
TANATA 2021 Syllabus

Sets and Relations
Idea of sets, subsets, power set, complement, union, intersection and difference of sets, Venn diagram, De Morgan's Laws, Relation and its properties. Equivalence relation — definition and elementary examples.
Understanding of scale and proportion of objects, geometric composition, shape, building forms and elements, aesthetics, colour texture, harmony, and contrast. Conceptualization and visualization through structuring objects in memory. Drawing of patterns - both geometrical and abstract. Form transformations in 2D and 3D like union, subtraction, rotation, surfaces, and volumes. Generating plan, elevation and 3D views of objects. Creating 2D and 3D compositions using given shapes and forms. Perspective drawing. Sketching of urban-scape and landscape, Common day-to-day life objects like furniture, equipment, etc., from memory.
TANATA 2021 Exam Pattern
TANATA is a paper-based test. TANATA exam will be conducted in two parts: Paper-I and Paper-II. Total marks of both Paper-I and Paper-II combined will be 200 marks. The time allotted for the TANATA Exam will be three hours (180 minutes). Paper-I will be of 120 marks only and Paper-II will be of 80 marks.
As this exam is a paper-based test, the candidates will need to fill the bubbles in the OMR sheet provided to them. There would be only one correct answer to a particular question. If a candidate fills more than one bubble for any question, then that answer will be considered as a wrong answer.

TANATA 2021 Application Form
Candidates will be able to fill the TANATA Application Form through online mode only. The registration window is tentatively set right now. Actual registration dates will be updated here after they are declared by the official website. Candidates are advised to fill the application form with the correct details because at later stages the verification will be done. At that time if it is found that you have lied with your information, then your candidature will be cancelled.
How to apply for TANATA 2021?
Candidates can follow the steps below to apply for TANATA:
- Step 1: Go to the official website of TANATA Exam.
- Step 2: Upon reaching the home page, you have to look for the "Application Form" link and click on it.
- Step 3: Then, the first step would be to register for the exam. You will have to give your details such as Name, Contact No, Email address. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number which you have to fill in to complete your registration. You will also receive your ID and its password.
- Step 4: After your registration is done, you can start filling your application form. You will need to enter your Education Details, Biodata details and upload the images of your photograph and signature.
- Step 5: Once the form is filled completely, you need to submit it.
- Step 6: After it is completely filled, you will be asked to pay the fee. Your form will be considered complete if you pay the fee.
- Step 7: Once the fee has been paid by you, the form will be considered complete and you will be able to download and print your application form.
TANATA 2021 Application Fee
Candidates need to pay the application fee to make their application complete and valid. For general category candidates, the TANATA Application Fee is INR 2000/- and for the candidates belonging to the SC/SCA/ST categories need to pay only INR 1000/.
TANATA 2021 Admit Card
TANATA Admit Card will be released by the University a few days before the examination. The admit card will be issued online and would not be sent by post to any candidate under any circumstances.

- Step 1: Visit the TANATA Official Website.
- Step 2: Click on "Admit Card" button.
- Step 3: Enter your Application Number and Date of Birth to view the admit card.

TANATA 2021 Results
Results are announced by the University on the official website. TANATA Results will be declared tentatively on a date specified by the exam authorities. The candidates who qualify this exam will be offered a seat in the Institutions under Anna University.
