CEED 2020 Eligibility

IIT Bombay is conducting CEED 2020 for opening the admission for PG in Design. Aspiring candidates who want to take admission for the PG courses have to apply the application form. Before starting Registration candidate should go through the CEED 2020 Eligibility Criteria. Go through the article to know the Eligibility Criteria of CEED 2020. 

  • Eligibility Check: The candidates are advised to check their eligibility before they fill the Application Form.

  • Age Limit: There is no age limit for being eligible for CEED 2020.

  • Qualification: 

    • The candidate must have pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Architecture/Design/Interior Design or any equivalent 3 years programme (after 10+ 2 level). (OR)

    • The candidate must have obtained a Professional Diploma in Design such as NID/CEPT or any equivalent of 4 years programme (after 10+ 2). (OR)

    • The candidate must have passed the 4-year professional programme in Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) after (10+2). (OR)

    • The candidate must have pursued a 5-year programme after 10th in G.D. Art with one-year post-qualification professional experience (10+ 5). (OR)

    • For Ph. D the candidate must have a Master’s degree in Arts/ Science/ Computer Applications (2-year programme after 10+2+3)

  • Attempts: Candidates can apply for CEED as many time as they want. There is no limit on the number of times candidates can appear in CEED.

  • Program: Candidates who have passed the GD Arts diploma programme (10+5 level) by July 2018 are also eligible for applying and appearing in CEED 2020.

  • Pursuing Candidates: Candidates who are appearing in the final year examination by July 2020 are also eligible to apply.

  • Admit Card: Admit Card will not be issued for the candidates who do not fulfill the eligibility criteria. 

  • Admission: The admitting Institutes have the right to verify the eligibility, the certificates related to category and other documents as well as the CEED 2020 scorecard.

  • Other documents: Candidates having a valid GATE 2020 scorecard are also eligible to apply for CEED 2020.

  • Important Dates: Eligible candidates are advised to check all the Important Dates related to CEED 2020.


CEED 2020 Eligibility for Participating Colleges

IISc Bangalore

A recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Design/ Architecture

IIT Bombay

A minimum of 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST) or equivalent grades in the qualifying examination as listed below-

For Industrial Design

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Architecture/ Design/ Interior Design, or equivalent Professional Diploma in Design (NID/CEPT, or equivalent).

For Mobility and Vehicle Design

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Architecture / Design/ Interior Design, or equivalent Professional Diploma in Design (NID/CEPT, or equivalent).

BF (4-year professional programme in Fine art/Commercial art after 10+2).

For Visual Communication, Animation and Interaction Design

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Architecture / Design/ Interior Design, or equivalent.

Professional Diploma in Design (NID/CEPT, or equivalent).

B.F.A. (4-year professional programme, after 10+2).

G.D. Art (5-year programme after 10th) with one-year professional experience.

Master’s Degree in Arts/ Science/ Computer Applications.

IIT Delhi

Graduates in Engineering and Architecture.

Must have a valid CEED score; GATE score will not be considered.

A minimum CGPA of 6.75 on a 10 point scale or 60% marks in aggregate (for General Category and OBC Non-Creamy Layer)

For the SC/ ST Category, this is relaxed by 5%.

IIT Guwahati

For M. Des.

4-year Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent in Design, Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design or a Design related field

or,

4-year Professional Diploma in Design of NID or Professional Diploma of CEPT (5-year programme). Minimum 55% marks

or,

equivalent grades in the qualifying Degree/ Diploma All candidates (except those having B.Tech/ B.Des degrees from an IIT with a minimum CPI of 7.0) must possess a valid score of CEED.

IIT Hyderabad

For M.Des.

Must have a valid CEED score

A minimum of 55% marks (50% marks in case of SC/ST) or equivalent grades in the qualifying examination given below –

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Architecture/ Design/ Interior Design or equivalent (4 years duration after 10+2).

Professional Diploma in Design (NID/CEPT or equivalent of 4 years duration after 10+2).

B.F.A. (4-year professional programme, after 10+2).

G.D. Art (5-year programme after 10th) with one-year post qualification, professional experience.

Master’s Degree in Arts/ Science/ Computer Applications (2 year programme after10+2+3).

For PhD

M.Des./ M.Arch/ M.Tech/ M.Phil/ MFA/ MA/ M.Sc/ Postgraduate Diploma in Design of NID, Ahmedabad OR equivalent

Also, either one of the following –

A minimum of 55 percent marks (50% marks for SC/ST) in the final academic year of the programme.

A minimum of 55 percent marks (50% marks for SC/ST) in aggregate or as specified by the university.

A first class as specified by the university

A minimum CPI of 5.5 (5.0 CPI for SC/ST) on the scale of 10; with corresponding proportional requirements when the scales are other than on 10

All candidates are required to upload one zip file containing the following:

(a) Ph.D. proposal (b) Portfolio of work and/or publications

IIT Kanpur

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Design or Architecture

A valid CEED/ GATE Score are eligible to apply for the two-year Master of Design Programme

Candidates holding degrees in Fine Arts or Interior Design are NOT eligible to apply

Candidates must have passed a degree/diploma/postgraduate degree of 4 years or 3+2 years (after 10+2 level).
