Age limit

Should be born on or after 1st October 1998( General ) and 1st October 1993 (SC/ST)

Qualification

Should be qualified class 12 (science/arts &humanities/commerce) or equivalent in 2017 or appearing candidates of 2019 are also eligible

Only 2 attempts are allowed for consecutive years

Validity of marks card

UCEED marks sheets will be valid for only one year and only for admission for corresponding years

Domicile

UCEED 2018 is open for Indian as well as foreign nationals & OCI/PIO card holders. Seats allotted to foreign nationals are supernumerary with a cap of 10% of total available seats in the course.

UCEED 2020 Eligibility Criteria- B.Des program:

  • Qualification: The candidate should have passed 10+2 from a recognized institution/university. 

    • The university/ institution from which the candidate is passing out should be afflicted to a recognized board.

    • The final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.

    • Any Public School, Board or University examination in India or in a foreign country recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the H.S.C. vocational examination.

    • Diploma from AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education of at least for the period of 3 years.

    • The candidate should have passed at least one exam from a recognized board before if the class 12 exam is not public.
  • Certificates: Certification of General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London, Cambridge or Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) Level. 

    • Candidates who have completed their 12th standard (or equivalent) exam from an unrecognized board/university will have to produce a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities(AIU) stating that the examination qualified by them is equal to the 12th standard exam.

    •   The candidate should have a High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or  The International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.


Exceptions:

  • Science stream: The candidates who are from science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as their subjects are eligible for applying institutions like IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati and IIITDM Jabalpur.

  • Non-science stream: The candidates with other streams ( arts, commerce and science without mathematics or Physics or Chemistry ) are eligible to apply for institutions like IIT Bombay and IIITDM Jabalpur.
