CEED Cut Off Part B
Candidates must check the CEED 2026 expected cut off details for Part B shared in the pointers below.
- In Part B, there will be a total of 5 questions of 100 marks. Of these, questions 1-5 is discipline-specific, which will have 20 marks each and the candidates have a choice to attempt any one of these questions.
- After the manual evaluation of these questions, the raw scores for each discipline will be tested for normality.
- If the raw scores are found to be not normal, then the scores for each question will be transformed using the Box-cox transformation.
- These transformed scores will then be normalized by the formula given below:
S = {(m − μi) Σ / σi} + A
where m is the raw marks obtained by the person in question I, μi is the average of the raw marks obtained by all candidates who attempted question I, σi is the standard deviation of the raw marks obtained by all candidates who attempted question I, and A = 20 and Σ = 5 are chosen to be the average and the standard deviation, respectively, of the distribution of scores ‘S’.
- If the calculated ‘S’ score for any candidate falls below 0, all such scores will be capped at 0, and if the calculated ‘S’ score for any candidate falls above 40, all such scores will be capped at 40.
- Marks obtained in other questions in Part B will be added to ‘S’ above to obtain the Part B score for the candidate.
Note: The final CEED score will be calculated by giving 25% weight to marks obtained in Part A and 75% weight to scores obtained in Part B after the above calculation.
