It is important for candidates to go through the eligibility criteria for BHU PET 2020 carefully to avoid unnecessary mistakes. BHU PET 2020 Registration

The application process for BHT PET usually commences in the month of January, after the notification is released by the conducting authority. The candidates must get themselves registered on the BHU PET registration portal. The steps to do so are shared below:

  1. Go to the official website.
  2. Click "Apply for Admission".
  3. If you are applying for the first time, click on "Register Yourself".
  4. Provide the necessary details.
  5. You will receive an activation mail on your registered email id and verification code on your registered mobile number. If you don't find it, kindly check your spam folder too. 
  6. Click on the Activation Link.

The Application Form for BHT PET asks for the candidate's personal and educational details. The candidates must fill them to the best of their knowledge. Any discrepancies found, later on, will lead to the cancellation of the candidature. 

  1. Log in to the BHU Online application link.
  2. Log in with the registered email id and password.
  3. Fill the required details.
  4. Click on "Save & Continue".
  5. Upload scanned images and signature as per the given specifications.

BHU PET 2020 Admit Card

Candidates must carry their admit cards to their respective examination centres. They will not be allowed to appear for the examination without the Admit Card, as it contains all the necessary information regarding the examination centre, roll number, examination date, and time slot. The Admit Card for BHU PET 2020 was released by the organizing authorities on the official website on August 19, 2020. Candidates had to download the admit card from the official BHU website and take a print out of the same to be carried to the examination venue.

Marking Scheme

The marking scheme for the BHU PET 2020 Exam is listed below:

  • Add 3 marks for the correct answers.
  • Deduct 1 mark for the incorrect answers.
  • For the unattempted questions do not deduct marks.

The University also provides an option for the candidates to challenge the answer key, in case they are sure that the answer given in the answer key is incorrect. For this, the candidates have to follow a process and pay the challenging fee for each question that they are challenging.

How to challenge the BHU PET 2020 Answer Key?

The steps that the candidate should follow to complete the process of challenging the answer key are listed below:

  1. Visit the official website of BHU.
  2. Search for the link Click here to Challenge questions and/or answers PET 2020.
  3. Click on that link.
  4. Candidates will get an option there Challenge Questions/Provisional Key (PET).
  5. Click on that link and enter the login credentials such as e-mail Id and password.
  6. Enter the captcha code that is displayed on the screen. 
  7. Click on Sign In.
  8. Now, raise the objection against the answer.
  9. Submit the claims.
  10. After submitting the claims, pay the challenging fee.

Note: Candidates have to pay INR 100 for each question which they want to challenge. The challenging fee will be refunded to the account of the candidate in case the objection that the candidate raised are correct.

BHU PET 2020 Selection Process

The process of a candidate's selection through BHU PET is given below:

  1. You need to clear the BHU PET examination, which is by achieving higher marks than the allocated cut off marks. The candidates are advised to chalk out their preparation plan for this test accordingly. 
  2. Different postgraduate programs will have different cut off marks.
  3. The merit list is used to decide the students qualifying for the postgraduate course seats.


  1. The students can download the call letter from their logged-in BHU online account.
  2. The students who get higher or equal marks than the cut off marks will receive an email.
  3. The students must report to the respective university as per the call letter. They should pay the amount asked for by the respective university to book their seats.
