WBJEE Dress Code 2024: The dress code is followed to maintain an ethical code of conduct. However, there are general rules to be followed by candidates while appearing for the exam, but the conduct committee releases no different dress code.

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) arranges the state-level entrance exam for various engineering and technical college admissions. WBJEE is an undergraduate examination held annually.

WBJEE Dress Code 2024

Candidates are required to follow the set of rules that are in practice. These are commonly followed for all examinations. Additionally, candidates are suggested to avoid carrying any items listed under banned items. 

Apart from that, no flashy clothes, fashion jewellery, gadgets, or explosive dress are prohibited for the WBJEE dress code 2024. 

WBJEE Dress Code for Male

• Candidates are suggested to wear basic t-shirts or shirts for the exam. 
• Avoiding any graphic t-shirt or shirt is considered an act of a knowledgeable person.

There are enough fancy dresses for females in the market; however, the dress code for WBJEE is to keep it simple. It must be abided to avoid frisking or additional checking. Some of the basic WBJEE dress rules are as follows:

• Female candidates must ensure that they wear any basic dress such as a kurta, plain shirts/t-shirts, or comfortable dress. 
• They, too, must avoid wearing cargo pants, palazzos with deep pockets, or pants with inner pockets. 
• Next, they must keep the hairstyle simple; no addition of fancy bands, clips, or clutchers is allowed. 
• They must also avoid over-accessorising with items such as bands, bracelets, rings, nail art, and make-up. 
• Simple chappals are best for exam day and must be followed by the WBJEE dress code 2024. Wearing heels or boots will draw unwanted attention and unnecessary checking. 
• Any female candidate must not wear dresses with excessive layers, pleats, or frills.

List of Banned Items Under WBJEE Dress Code

Along with the WBJEE exam dress code for the examination, some items are not allowed inside the WBJEE exam hall. The list of items are as follows:

• Food items are strictly banned.
• Gadgets or electronic devices are not allowed.
• Any bluetooth device, headphones, pager, and smartwatch is prohibited.
• Any metallic items such as knives, scissors, or compasses are forbidden.
• Papers, notebooks, handbags, pursue, etc are barred.

WBJEE Exam Day Guidelines

The dress code for WBJEE is specified above. Apart from that, there are some exam day guidelines specified for the candidates by the authorities, which are as follows:

• Candidates are requested to reach the examination centre at least half an hour before the examination starts. 
• Further, candidates must be sure of the location of the examination centre. If needed, they must visit the place before the exams to avoid confusion on D-day. 
• Candidates must report to the specified centre of examination. Arriving at other centres will not be allowed. 
• WBJEE dress code must be observed and followed at all times.
• Candidates must arrive and occupy the seats specified to them.
• After proper checking, the candidates will be allowed to enter the examination premises. 
• The WBJEE dress code for males and females must be followed; no one possessing banned items will be allowed. 
• Candidates must carry their admit cards with them. They will not be permitted to the exam hall. 
• The signature of the candidates in the attendance register in the presence of the invigilator is a must. 
• Before starting the exam, candidates must read all the rules and regulations mentioned in the answer booklet. 
• Candidates must ensure that the details mentioned in the attendance sheet are proper before they submit it. Cross-checking of application number is mandatory.
• Additionally, candidates must circle the correct answer properly before submitting the answer script.

• Candidates must maintain the decorum of the examination hall. There should be no noise or interruptions during the exam.
• Nonetheless, candidates found discussing questions will not be allowed to continue the examination, and their names will be cancelled. 
• Candidates are allowed to do the rough work only on the paper provided by the invigilators. 
• No candidate can leave the examination hall before submitting the OMR sheet. 
• The booklets can be carried out in the hall only after the examination.
