IISER through JEE Advanced 2024: IISER admits students to BS-MS (Bachelor of Science & Master of Science) dual degree programmes through three different channels.

IISER through JEE Advanced 2024: Eligibility Criteria

The IISER eligibility criteria for 2024 for admission through all three channels will differ slightly. 

• Candidates who pass the 10+2 level science examination fulfil the basic education requirement for IISER through JEE Advanced 2024. 
• Other eligibility requirements for IISER admission include age, nationality, and passing a valid entrance exam.
• Candidates must meet the IISER eligibility criteria for 2024 to be considered for admission.

IISER Eligibility: Admission through IIT-JEE 

Candidates who wish to apply for admission based on IISER through JEE Advanced 2024 must meet the following eligibility requirements and the common IISER eligibility criteria.

• Minimum rank requirement as per the JEE Advanced CRL – 10,000
• Nationality – Foreign and Indian nationals, including OCI/PIO cardholders
• Marks in Class 12th – Check the table below for category-wise score requirement for IISER through JEE Advanced 2024

Besides the above qualifying criteria for IISER through JEE Advanced 2024, candidates must obtain the board-wise cutoff marks. Suppose the board's name is not listed in the board-wise cutoff list defined by IISER.

In that case, the candidate must either produce a certificate from their respective board stating their position among the top 20 percentile holders or the CBSE board's qualifying cutoff will be used.

Eligibility Criteria for the IISER Aptitude Test 2024

For JEE Advanced

• Candidates must have passed the JEE Advanced exam in the year they applied for the IISER Aptitude Test.
• The rank obtained by General category candidates in JEE Advanced must fall within the limit set by the official authorities.
  The candidate must obtain a rank in the Common Rank List less than 10000 (tentative) (CRL) for IISER through JEE Advanced 2024.

IISER Admission Process 2024

The IISER admission process 2024 information has been furnished in the pointers below. The candidates are requested to keep the required documents for admission handy to have a smooth admission process.  

• Step 1: Visit the official website of IISER.
• Step 2: Click on the "Admissions" tab on the top menu of the homepage.
• Step 3: The student should log in with their personal details and credentials in the application portal.
• Step 4: Check for seat availability and the JEE Advanced rank for the chosen course.
• Step 5: If the student has received any information on the seat-blocking email, then the student can either freeze, accept or reject the seat.
• Step 6: Once the seat is accepted, the student has to pay the seat allocation fee via net banking, DD or UPI. 
• Step 7: The student has to take a printout of the seat allocation fee payment receipt. 

Note:

• Each channel will be assigned a portion of the available seats.
• JEE Advanced 2024 will fill 50% of IISER seats for General/SC/ST/OBC Non-creamy category candidates. The remaining seats will be filled through other means based on the results of the IISER Aptitude Test 2024.
• IISER through JEE Advanced admission 2024 will be based on the candidate's merit rank, filled-out preferences, and seat availability.
• The IISER will not publish any cutoff marks for admissions. Only the top candidates chosen through JEE channels will be admitted to the IISER through JEE Advanced 2024.

JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria 2024

The JEE Advanced passed students who are eligible to appear for the IISER exams are discussed in the following pointers:

1. Candidates seeking admission to IISER must have a minimum aggregate score of 60% in class XII or an equivalent exam.
2. Applicants must qualify for JEE Advance and be ranked within the top 10,000 in the entrance exam.
3. Candidates can be ranked by category; for reserved categories (OBC NC, SC, ST, PD), their category rank will be used.
4. There are additional cutoff criteria.

JEE Advanced Channel

The JEE Advanced channels are discussed in the pointers below for a better understanding of the category-based scores. 

• Candidates in the General category with a rank within 10000 on the JEE Advanced 2024 Common Rank List (CRL) are eligible to apply.
• Candidates from the reserved categories (OBC-NC, SC, ST, PD) must have a category rank within the top 10,000. Additional cutoff criteria may apply. Please review the eligibility requirements.
• Candidates with a valid JEE Advanced rank/scorecard can skip the IISER aptitude test in 2024.
