Chandigarh NEET Counselling 2025: Dates, Registration, Seat Reservation

The Chandigarh NEET counselling 2025 registration will start in Aug 2025, and the MBBS counselling (All UT Pool seats, General/ SC/ PwD, Foreign Indian Student (NRI) seats) is also expected to start in Aug 2025.

The counselling will be conducted by the Chandigarh Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). There are 738 MBBS and 100 BDS seats for the candidates throughout Chandigarh. After the declaration of the NEET Result 2025, students get to know if they are eligible for the counselling round.

The NEET counselling 2025 particulars of the union territory of Chandigarh that the candidates need to know are as follows.

• To participate in Chandigarh MBBS/BDS counselling, candidates must physically be present at the allotted centre.
• All required documentation must be presented by applicants in both original form and photocopies.
• The conducting authority will release the seat allocation results on the official website.
• The candidates will not be allowed for subsequent rounds of counselling if the seats are allotted.
• The second round of Chandigarh NEET counselling is offered to those who did not attend the first round.

Chandigarh NEET 2025 Counselling Eligibility Criteria

• Only applicants whose names appear on the NEET (SESSION 2025-24) for Admission to MBBS/ BDS Courses (NEET (UG)-2025) merit list prepared by NTA (National Testing Agency) will be eligible to apply for the Chandigarh NEET counselling 2025.
• Applicants must have completed 17 years. Anyone born on or after 02-01-2004 will not be eligible for admission. 
• The candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% in class 12 board exams with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects. A relaxation of 10% and 5%, that is a minimum of 40% and 45%, is required for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories and Physically Handicapped candidates, respectively.

How to Register for Chandigarh NEET Counselling 2025?

The following are the steps to register for the Chandigarh NEET counselling 2025. 

• Step 1: Firstly, visit the GMCH website - www.gmch.gov.in
• Step 2: Next, click on ‘Admissions’.
• Step 3: Now you can register by clicking on ‘Candidate Registration for Admission to MBBS/BDS/BHMS Course 2025’.
• Step 4: 'New User Registration for MBBS/BDS/BHMS Course 2025' will appear. Fill up all the details and register.
• Step 4: Then click on 'Candidate login’ and fill in all the details asked.
• Step 5: Next, you can select a course and a category.
• Step 6: Now you must upload a photo and signature in JPG format.
• Step 7: Also, upload the required certificates/ documents.
• Step 8: Pay the registration fee online.
• Step 9: Finally, submit the form and take a printout of it for further procedures.

1. Registration at the official website with personal and educational details and activation of the account that the candidate will be using throughout the admission process. 
2. Candidates will then have to fill in their choices of colleges and courses in the order of their preference. The candidates must submit the required documents and testimonials along with the application. 
3. In the counselling process, the candidates will be allotted seats based on their merit, course and college preference, the category they belong to and seat availability and seat allotment details will be published on the official website.
