NEET 2022 scorecard has been released by the conducting authority. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET is an entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), for students who want to pursue their careers in the medical (MBBS) and dental fields (BDS). How to Check NEET Score Card?
The NTA (National Testing Agency) has released the results of NEET 2022. The results are available in the form of a scorecard and candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to learn how to download NEET UG 2022 scorecards.
- Visit the website: ntaneet.nic.in
- Click on the tab "NEET UG 2022 Results" which will direct you to a new webpage.
- Enter your roll number, date of birth, and the security pin, then click on "Submit". If you have forgotten your password or application number, you can retrieve your account by clicking on “Forgot Password” or “Forgot Application Number” and fill in the details required which are the candidate’s name, parents’ name, date of birth, and security pin.
- The result would be available now, and you can download and make copies of the scorecard for future reference.

Validity of NEET Score Card
The NEET scorecard is valid for three years after the declaration year. For example, suppose the candidates have appeared in 2022; the scores are valid for three consecutive years. Candidates are suggested downloading and saving the NEET scorecard from the official website.
Furthermore, the NEET result is essential to be preserved for a minimum of up to 90 days from the date of declaration of results since it will be asked during the counselling and medical admission. NEET 2022 Score Card Calculation
The NTA uploads the answer key for the candidates to compare their answers so that they get a rough value of how much they have scored. The answer key also helps the candidate challenge the answer provided by NTA by paying Rs.1000 per response. If the candidate is right, they get a refund. The answer key would determine their expected rank and score.
For every right answer, 4 marks are awarded, and a negative mark is deducted for every wrong answer. So, the scores can be calculated by multiplying the number of right answers by 4 and subtracting it from the number of wrong answers.
NEET 2022 Tie Breaker
In the event of a tie, where two candidates secure the same marks in the NEET 2022 UG examination, there is a need for a tie-breaker. The specifications of the tiebreaker are mentioned below:
- In case the total marks are the same, the candidate with higher marks in Biology will secure the higher rank.
- If the marks are similar in Biology, candidates are ranked based on their Chemistry marks in the NEET 2022 examination.
- If both Biology and Chemistry marks are exactly the same, the candidate with the least number of wrong answers will excel to the higher rank.
- Lastly, if all the above three points are not applicable as a tiebreaker, the candidate who is older in age will secure the higher merit ranking.
NEET 2022 Cut Off
The NEET cutoff is the minimum score required to qualify for the medical exam. It plays an essential factor for NEET rank letter and in deciding which college the candidate can opt for, and also determines the fee structure.
The cutoff percentile helps the candidate with the performance comparison among other candidates. The basis on which the cutoff is decided is by determining the highest marks obtained for admission to the best medical/ dental colleges. The NEET cutoff will be releasing two quotas- All India Quota (15 %) and State Quota which will determine the rank percentile of the candidates. The cutoff for general category students is 50th percentile while it is 40th percentile for reserved category students.
The NEET percentile rank is found by calculating the number of candidates who appeared with a score equal to or less than the candidate/The total number of candidates that have appeared for the exam * 100.

What After NEET Score Card is Announced?
The NEET 2022 score card has been released and now the candidates have to go through the counseling and admission process to get a seat in the desired University. The candidates can apply for the following courses through NEET:
- BDS and MBBS: The only way to get admission to dental and medical colleges is through NEET. The candidate can get admission in any private or government college through NEET. Some foreign universities also accept NEET scores. The score acts as an eligibility criterion for the candidate to get admission to dental and medical colleges abroad. The NEET result is valid for three years for candidates who want to pursue courses in foreign universities.
