IISER Counselling 2024: Seat Allotment

IISER 2024 counselling rounds seat allotment process will be announced on the official website i.e www.iiseradmission.in. Candidates must download the offer letter and confirm their seats once released. The offer letter will be available on the candidate portal at cdn.digialm.com. The seat allotment list can be downloaded using candidate's user ID and password.

IISER Admissions 2024 will have four rounds of online counselling. To partake in the counselling of IISER 2024, applicants will have to fill out the registration form, choice locking, document verification, etc. Students must reach the allotted centre for document verification on the counselling day.

IISER Counselling 2024

IISER 2024 qualified students will be apply for the further round of the counselling process of IISER 2024. Admissions will be based on the merit list prepared by IISER. The seat allotment admission process for rounds will be announced by the exam officials. Candidates must download the offer letter before the deadlines on the candidate portal at cdn.digialm.com after the announcement.

IISER Counselling 2024 Process

IISER counselling 2024 seat allotment process for rounds will start after the results are declared. Candidates must download their offer letter from the candidate portal and comfirm their seats before the deadline. 

A separate counselling form will be provided for each of the channels of admission. The candidates' preference for the IISER campus and the stream, filled in the application form cannot be changed at this stage.

• Required Documents: Candidates have to report to the assigned regional documentation centre and get all the necessary documents verified on the date and time scheduled. 
• Necessary Documents: Candidates have to carry the original copy of the following documents along with two self-attested photocopies of the same,
  • Class 12th Mark sheet,
  • Class 10th Mark sheet as proof of Date of Birth
  • Admit Card of Aptitude Test/JEE Advanced/KVPY
  • Score Card of KVPY/JEE Advanced/Aptitude Test
  • Caste Certificate (if any)
  • PWD Certificate (if any)
• 2 Recent passport-size photographs.
• Seat Allocation: For each channel, based on merit, the total number of available seats in respective channels in different IISERs, and candidates' preferences, the seats will be allotted to the candidates. 
• Payment of IISER fee: After the allocation of the IISER seat, candidates will have to pay the seat acceptance fee of INR 25,000 for General/OBC or INR 12,500 for reserved category candidates.
• Float in IISER Counselling: Float option allows a candidate to either retain the seat (if no) in IISER allotted to them or opt for a change (if yes) as per the candidate’s preference mentioned in their application form and as per merit. 
• Freeze in IISER Counselling: If the candidate has chosen Yes in the Float option then that is Freeze i.e., finalizing the allocated seat.

IISER 2024 Refund Policy for Seat Acceptance Fee

The following points will explain the refund policy for the seat acceptance fee. 

• It must be noted that no cancellation fee will be applicable if the candidate withdraws their claim for a seat any time before the last date.
• Candidates only have the option of Online withdrawal. No other form/method of withdrawal is accepted.
• IISER is not liable for losses incurred if a candidate's application is not withdrawn in the above manner and on the specified date and time.
• If the candidate is unable to join in person at the offered IISER on the joining date mentioned in the offer letter, then a cancellation fee of INR 1000 is applicable

IISER 2024 Counselling Rounds

IISER 2024 Counselling will commence after the announcement of the cutoff and IISER results 2024. There are three different rounds of counselling for IISER admission as follows.

• Round 1: This round is for candidates who have qualified in either KVPY Basic Science Stream or IISER 2024 Aptitude Test (SCB).
• Round 2: The second round of seat allotment for JEE Advanced candidates.
• Round 3: The final round of seat allotment of IISER for SCB candidates and to fill any of the remaining seats of JEE Advanced and KVPY through the SCB channel.

This year, IISER Bhopal is the conducting authority and all the 7 IISERs will be participating in the counselling process. The IISER list is as follows.

IISER Seat Allotment 2024

IISER 2024 exam seat allotment information is given below. The candidates can refer to this information to get clarity out of the IISER exam seat matrix. 

Intake Through Different Channels: The admission to IISER through 3 different channels is divided into parts.

• 50% of available seats through JEE Advanced and KVPY
• The rest of the 50% of seats is via the IISER 2024 Admission Test.

Unfilled seats from KVPY and JEE channels will be added to the SCB channel. The following table indicates the IISER exam seat matrix. 

IISER Counselling 2024: Withdrawal Process

There are various norms that students must follow for the IISER counselling fee refund withdrawal process. Below given are the rules related to the withdrawal or refund of fees:

• The application fee is not refundable.
• The refund policy for the Seat Acceptance Fee is given below :
• The student can withdraw their seat/offer by pressing the "Withdraw Offer" button in the application portal. No other form/method of withdrawal is tolerated. Students must note that Email or phone communication in this regard is not considered.
• Once a student has withdrawn, authorities will not entertain them for further rounds of the admission process. A withdrawn candidate cannot re-enter the admission process again under any possibilities.

There are two essential withdrawal dates :

• Round-wise withdrawal (RW) date
• Final withdrawal (FW) date. 

The RF and FW withdrawal have specific terms and conditions stated below: 

• No cancellation fee will apply if a student withdraws from counselling before the RW deadlines.
• Authorities will deduct the non-refundable amount if a candidate withdraws on the Round wise withdrawal deadline but on or before the Final withdrawal date.
• IISERs and JAC are not responsible for losses incurred if your application is not withdrawn in the above way and on or before the specified date and time.
• Once an applicant has withdrawn the offer through the counselling portal, the amount due will be returned through the same channel (credit/debit card, bank account etc.) used to pay the SAF. Such candidates do not have to take additional steps towards their SAF refund. The repayment process will start only after three weeks of the commencing of the admission process.
• If the examinee does not withdraw on or before the FW deadline, the SAF will be transferred to the allotted IISER. That particular IISER will control any further withdrawal following a set of instructions.
• The candidate's cancellation fee will be applied if they fail to join in person at the offered IISER on the joining date stated in the offer letter of the respective IISER.
• Additionally, candidates who have paid the SAF but have yet to show up by the last admission fee payment date will not be considered.
• A candidate may request a refund if they decide to discontinue after joining an IISER. After the candidate has registered at the IISER, the Seat Acceptance Fee will be transferred to the IISER, and the IISER will collect the remaining local fees from the candidate upon registration.
