Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Tirupati [IISER] is an autonomous institute, established in 2015 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. The main objective of establishing IISERs in different parts of India was to ensure quality education in the field of science in undergraduate and postgraduate levels and to carry out research in frontier areas of science. 

IISER Tirupati is now functioning in a temporary campus with facilities like library, computer centre, health centre, sports facilities, gymnasium, canteen and hostel. IISER Tirupati courses include undergraduate, postgraduate and research programs in fields of science.

The library is open from 8 am to 12 am on all days.

Computer Centre:

The institute has a well-equipped computer lab with more than 80 computers with latest configurations.

Health Centre:

The health centre of the institute has a full-time nurse and a doctor available in the evenings. The health centre has facilities like OP consultation, first aid management, medicines and routine check-ups. The institute has an ambulance in case of emergency and the health centre will refer the patient to a hospital for advanced medical care if necessary.

Gymnasium:

The gymnasium in the institute is well-equipped with equipment for fitness and bodybuilding. An instructor is provided for the new joiners.
