Delhi College of Arts and Commerce is a co-educational constituent college of the University of Delhi which was established in the year 1987 under the aegis of Delhi Administration and situated in Netaji Nagar. The college has a campus area of approximately 5 acres with a built-up area of around 2.5 acres. The campus is well connected by Delhi Metro and the nearest stations are INA and AIIMS.  

Every year, the college hosts a cultural festival named Ambrosia. The college is also well-connected by road transport. Various facilities are being provided by the college such as computer labs, library, sports, medical room, etc. The college library is fully automated comprising over 56538 books of various disciplines to cater to the academic and recreational requirements of the user in their field of study.

DCAC has earned the distinction of being one of the most after colleges not just in South Campus, but also Delhi University as a whole. DCAC courses include 18 undergraduate courses that are part of the Bachelor with Honours/ Programme Degree. Moreover, it offers various add-on and self-financed courses.

  • I m the student of delhi college of arts and commerce studying bcom hons 2nd year. The college is very much exploring with diferent societies and very famous in du. In internals they give projects and assigment relating to the topic which we are studying and the college is lenient in attendance. And the most happening phase of dcac is diffrent societies through which we can explore about and incuclate good experience and explore our talent. And the canteen is good and healthy food with nominal rates and other things.
  • The quality of teaching was good they teach through diffrent presentation sometime they ask us to write and a good faculty in college.
  • Overall experince in college is awosme and feel proud to be a part of dcac.

The faculty of our college is really good and provide assignment and projects which are knowledgeable and it is not at all a burden, and our college timing is from 8.30 a.m to 4.30 p.m and break is there in between.


CLUBS & ASSOCIATIONS

The College has many societies such as It, Marketing society, Financing society, theatre society, national service scheme society. There is annual cultural fest organized every year in the college. Sports competition, and freshers and other fests also take place. College life is best in our college, all the students are interactive a. If any fresher is joining the college, he/she must join a society because it is the best experience anyone could have, it provides the best experience to remember the lifetime.

My classes are in morning shift. There we are supposed to reach on time. Many assignments and projects studies are given to us for overall dovelopment. Quality of teaching is impressive. And the environment is so good and helpful. So its a nice experience of mine in this college.

It has various societies like Commonia, NSS, LFT, Rokda,Enactus,Leher etc. where student may get registered themselves and show their skills.Ambrosia' is annual festival of our dcac college.Every year it notice a huge participation from students in various activities like fashion show, street play, Dance and music competition, treasure hunt etc.Besides this, There are various other festivals likes Spektrum by commerce society, scoop ,Voice ,Aadya etc. were also organised by the various socities of the college. College life in dcac is quality life which a student has a dream of.

The admission procedure for B.A (Journalism) in Delhi College of Arts and Commerce, [DCAC] Delhi University is given below.

 

  • All applicants seeking admission to the College should read the prospectus of the College. The prospectus contains relevant information regarding admission to various courses and conditions of eligibility.
  • Admissions are made purely on merit basis.
  • There is no minimum age bar for admission to under graduate courses, and its colleges except in professional courses where regulatory body prescribes minimum age requirement (such as MCI, AICTE, etc.).
  • In case the applicant is selected for admission the original certificates along with attested copies will have to be submitted to the College at the time of admission:

    • A character certificate from the Head of the College or School last attended.
    •  
    • A certificate of date of birth issued by the Board of Education.
    •  
    • Provisional certificate of the last public examination passed.
    •  
    • A certificate of marks obtained in each subject at the last public examination.
    •  
    • Three recent passport size photographs.
    •  
    • In case of Foreign students, a copy of Passport and Visa issued by competent authority.


    • Candidates who fail to submit all these documents within the time prescribed will not be considered for admission.

    • Candidates, claiming the benefit of being the children of officers and men of the Armed Forces killed or disabled in war, are required to get their names registered with the University Office.

Every Foreign student other than Tibetan refugee is required to pay 100 US Dollar per year as foreign students fee. The fee will be charged in rupee @ prevailing on the day of admission.
