Hansraj College Delhi, established in 1948 was founded by the DAV College Managing Committee. It is a constituent college of Delhi University. It was set up in the loving memory of educationist Mahatma Hans Raj. The college is a premier institution that imparts quality education to its students. The college offers various facilities to its students. It also has a strong placement department that works for getting the students placed. Over the years, the college has grown in different aspects and is a pioneer in creating industry-ready candidates. Hansraj College admission is provided on a merit basis to various undergraduate, postgraduate, and certificate courses. The college offers courses at 4 different levels. For UG students, the classes are from Monday to Friday. For part-time courses, the classes are in the afternoon. Students who have registered with the Non-collegiate Women Education Board will have classes on Sundays and holidays. From 2 pm to 5 pm classes are taken for underprivileged school children in the neighbourhood.
The college has about 180 teachers and 157 non-teaching staff to efficiently run the college.

The Hansraj College Fee Structure is as mentioned below. In addition to these charges, the UG students need to pay INR 300 monthly for computer/ connectivity/ portal charges. The final year students need to pay INR 100 as placement fee and INR 100 as Alumni Association Life Membership fee.

The Hans Raj college Delhi has a number of departments that offer various courses.
The Hansraj college provides various facilities to its students. The college has a central library which remains open from 8:30 am to 5:00 on all working days. The students can access the library on Weekends also. It consists of a reading room that is spacious along with discussion and resource rooms.
The college has indoor and outdoor game facilities. It includes Basket Ball, Squash, Shooting, Lawn Tennis, Archery, Table Tennis, Chess, Badminton, and many more. All the students are encouraged to participate.
The college College canteen provides a variety of food & beverages to the staff and students at a nominal rate. It has a capacity of 150.
The college has three conference and seminar halls. To address the need of differently-abled students the college has an enabling unit. These members help the students to participate in various curricular and co-curricular activities. Many assistive devices are also provided to these students.
It also has several well-maintained Laboratories. It also has an amphitheater. For improving the physical and mental health of students, it provides a Gym facility. It has an air-conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of 600.
The students who are interested in the Army, Navy, and Air Force are provided training by the NCC wing. To make the students socially responsible, interested in the students are made to take part in various NSS activities.
The college has a number of societies like Dramatics, Fine Arts, Debating, Environmental Awareness, etc. These societies aim to promote extra-curricular activities and to give the students an opportunity to display their talents.

The college provides various scholarships to the needy and meritorious students. The teachers and the governing body contribute money for this. The college conducts an interview to find the eligible students. The Hansraj College scholarship also includes 50% to 100% fee concession to students based on annual income, girl child, family background, etc.
The eligible students can also avail scholarships offered by DAV, NCERT, FAEA, Single Girl Child Policy, Inspire scholarships provided by the Dept. of Science & Technology, etc.
The college Alumni Association gives an amount of INR 5000 and INR 3000 to meritorious students of the Enabling Unit.
The differently-abled students are exempted from paying the college fees. They need to contribute only to the Students’ Union Fund and other minimal charges only.

Hansraj College provides hostel facilities to undergraduate Male students. It can accommodate about 200 students within its 128 rooms. The Hansraj College facilities include indoor and outdoor gaming facilities. It offers a gym and a common room for the students. A mess committee of the resident students manages the dining facility. 24 hours of power backup and Wi-Fi facilities are also made available for the students' comfort. The world University Health Centre located nearby offers the medical facilities to the needy. CCTV cameras are installed for security reasons.
The fee for the first term for the students opting for vegetarian food is INR 45,230 and for the Non-vegetarian student's is INR 47,230. The 2nd term fees are INR 34,975 and INR 36,975 for the vegetarian and non-vegetarian students respectively. The students need to apply separately for admission to the hostel after taking admission to the college.

The quality and method of teaching are good. The overall experience in college was good. We have well-experienced faculties.
The annual cultural festival celebrated by several societies and departments. This time, the fest was not just limited to cultural events and Star Nights but also included the technical fest and departmental fests in this same frame.
Daily routine starts at 8:40 am till 5:30 pm with breaks of 2 to 3 hours between classes and it depends on different courses with the regular test by faculty in a month and assignment, ppts which we have to submit before exams. Quality and infrastructure of Hansraj college is excellent as compared to other colleges in campus and method of teaching is really good as per University level using projectors and with great faculty who have been studied from London, Germany, JNU, DSE, BHU and another prominence institutes Overall experience
Hansraj is known for its societies having 40+ societies be it Dramatics, Dance, Singing, Culinary, departmental societies, sports and many more. Various clubs and associations like NSS, NCC, equal enable and opportunities society, Eco club. Main festivals like Holi Mela, Diwali Mela, Christmas day, Raksha Bandhan. The food festival, sports day, technical fests, keynote speaker sessions. Fest of college which lasts for 2-4 days one of of the best-renowned fest. Overall life if college is superb it depends on you how you utilise it some enjoyed across the limit which is bad so there must be a balance between fun and study. You will meet different types of personality and diversity in unity.
Faculty of our department is good and the teachers are also very experienced and offer a good method of teaching, the classes start from 8:40 am to 3:00 pm.

Minimum eligibility is 45 % marks at the Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII) level. Priority is given to students of Delhi University. Application forms will be available around July.
