How to Register for JEE Main?
Every year students stumble around this question on how to apply for JEE Main. The process is quite simple, and we will guide you throughout the process. Follow the instructions mentioned below:
- Search for the official JEE Main website.
- Look for ‘New Registration’, and click on it.
- Carefully read all the instructions and click on the ‘I have read and downloaded information bulletin’.
- Next, tap the ‘Click here to Proceed’ option.
- Read and fill up all the information required, enter the security pin, and form submission.
- Please note down the system generated application number displayed on the screen.
- You will be successfully registered for the JEE Main examination.
How to Fill the Application Form?
Once you register for the JEE Main, the process to fill the application form becomes easier. The process to fill up the application form is as mentioned below:
- After registering, proceed with filling the application form.
- Enter all the details like Name, Parents Name, Address, Educational Qualification, etc.
- Once done, upload a scanned photograph according to the dimension mentioned. Also, upload a signature with the correct spelling. Click on ‘Submit’.
- Pay the application fee as mentioned.
- After successful payment, you will be redirected to the confirmation page. Take a printout of the page for further proceedings.
Important Documents Needed to Fill-up the JEE Main Application Form
We have listed the items you should keep handy before filling up the application form, and these are very important documents.
- A clear scanned copy of a photograph is to be uploaded in JPG/JPEG format.
- Keep a scanned copy of the signature that needs to be uploaded.
- A photo identity proof (Aadhaar Card/ Past qualified examination’s admit card has a photo).
- Make sure you have your class X and XII or equivalent examination mark sheet.
- Banking details like credit card/ debit card/ net banking for payment.
Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main
The basic JEE Main eligibility criteria to appear for the exam are listed below. If you are applying for JEE Mains this year, do follow the list and check the eligibility.
- If you have passed your class XII boards examination in 2020, 2021, or 2022, you can apply for JEE Main.
- You should have scored 75% or higher in your board examination.
- There is no age limit for applying.
- You must have taken five subjects in your boards or equivalent examination.
- For B.Tech admission, you must have compulsorily studied Physics and Mathematics and any subject among Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology and Technical Vocational subject in class 12 with at least passing marks in each subject.
- If you are aspiring for B.Arch, you must have passed class 12 or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
- For applying in B.Plan, you should have studied Mathematics in class 12.
- A Diploma holder is not eligible for the entrance exam.
JEE Mains Exam Schedule 2023
