MCC provides counselling based on NEET SS 2023 scores. MCC NEET SS counselling was held for 5,991, of which 689 candidates were allotted for DM/ MCh/DNB super speciality seats, and 454 seats were upgraded. The rest of the candidate's seats were not upgraded or did not fill up the new choice.

MCC NEET SS 2023 Seat Allotment
MCC released seat allotment for special round on Feb 10, 2023. DGHS will perform seat allotment processes based on the choices made by candidates during NEET SS 2023 counselling, availability of seats, scores, reservation criteria, and other variables. Accepting/Refusing NEET SS Seat Allotment
Candidates who have been assigned a seat through the NEET SS 2023 counselling must select one of four options:
- Accept your assigned seat and quit the counselling procedure.
- Accept the allotted seat but opt to compete in the next round.
- Refuse the assigned seat in favour of participating in the following round.
- Refuse the assigned seat and leave the counselling procedure.
- All candidates selected through the NEET SS 2023 counselling will be required to fill up any of the above alternatives by logging into their registered accounts.
- If a candidate does not select any of the above options, their seat will be forfeited, and their admission will be revoked.

Test takers must pay the required fee and security amount for NEET SS counselling 2023. Payment can be made online, and NEET SS registration fee is non-refundable.
Test takers can pay the amount through net banking/ debit card/ credit card. According to MCC, the security amount can be refunded only under special events.

Step 3: Choice Filling for NEET SS Counselling 2023
- Aspirants have to fill in their choices for the seat allotment process after the fee is paid successfully by selecting the preferred college and speciality course.
- Candidates who register to attend the counselling but do not select their preferences will not be allotted any seats by the conducting authorities.
- Applicants can fill in as many preferences as they want and can lock them. Aspirants who forget to lock the selected choices do not have to worry as they will get locked automatically. Take the printout of the choices filled for future admission requirements.

What to Do After NEET SS Counselling Round 1?
Candidates must follow the steps mentioned below after the results are declared for NEET SS counselling round 1.
- The candidates who are satisfied with the allotted seat during the counselling round 1 must resort to the institute with all essential documents for verification.
- The candidates who are satisfied with round 1 but want to attend round 2 can opt for up-gradation and report to the institute to reserve their allotted seats.
- Candidates who don't want to join the college allotted to them in round 1 can exit and appear for round 2 of NEET SS counselling 2023. In such a situation, registration has to be done again, and the security amount paid by the applicant for round 1 will be forfeited by authorities.
Reporting to the NEET SS Counselling Institutes
Candidates who accept the seat assigned to them must report to the particular institute before the deadline. Candidates who have chosen to advance to the next phase must also report to the allotted institute; otherwise, they will not be considered for the following round.

Candidates who qualified for NEET SS 2023 but were unable to register for the first round
- Candidates who chose to advance in the first round and have enrolled at the designated institute
- Candidates who accepted the seats given to them in round one but choose to withdraw from the counselling procedure can reapply for round two.
- Candidates who do not report to their assigned institute after selecting the upgrade option will not be considered for the second round of NEET SS counselling in 2023.
- Furthermore, suppose a candidate chooses to withdraw from the first round after accepting a seat. In that case, they will not be eligible for the second round of NEET SS 2023 counselling until they reapply.

- Test takers appearing for round 2 must fill in their new choices for the speciality course and college.
- Aspirants who do not appear for round 1 of counselling can appear for the next round and register again.
- Test takers opting for up-gradation do not have to register again for counselling. However, if seats are upgraded in round 2 then, join the new college and take the relieving letter from the previous institute. If the seat is not upgraded, then candidates who were allotted seats during round 1 will be retained
