SMFWBEE Counselling 2023: Dates, Seat Allotment

SMFWBEE counselling 2023 will commence after the results are declared. The official counselling schedule for SMFWBEE 2023 will be announced soon on the official website. SMFWBEE 2023 Counselling will be conducted by the State Medical Faculty of West Bengal for the shortlisted candidates who wish to secure admission in programmes offered by the institute.

The counselling procedure will take place online via web counselling. There will be 3 rounds with the release of 3 SMFWBEE seat allotment 2023 lists. After the release of the examination results, the counselling process will begin for candidates who will clear the cutoffs.

SMFWBEE Counselling 2023 Dates

As part of the admission process, the State Medical Faculty of West Bengal will conduct the counselling round. The counselling is based on SMFWBEE 2023 seat matrix for candidates who have cleared the cutoffs for SMFWBEE 2023. Refer to the given table to get full details on the SMFWBEE counselling date 2023.

Procedure For SMFWBEE Counselling 2023

After the exam results are declared, SMFWBEE 2023 seat matrix will be released on the official website, and the qualified candidates can register for the counselling process. The candidates are requested to visit the website regularly to stay updated. Follow this step-by-step guide for online counselling.

Step 1: SMFWBEE Registration 2023

• Visit the official website and locate the ‘Applicant Login’ link. Click on the link.
• Provide the Application registration number and password.
• Verify the details.

Step 2: Fee Payment

• Candidates will have to pay INR 100 to participate in the SMFWBEE Counselling 2023 process.
• Click on the ‘Pay fee’ dialogue box to make the fee payment.
• After the payment is made, log out and wait for 6-12 hours for fee reconciliation.

Step 3: Choice filling and locking

• Log in again, the ‘Fill Choices’ option will be active once the fee is received by the system.
• Candidates must select courses and affiliated institutions before filling out the application form. Candidates will not be able to change their preferences once the options have been locked.
• Take a printout of the form and keep it safe for future reference.

Step 4: Seat allotment

• The seat will be assigned based on merit rank, reservation category, and SMFWBEE total seat availability, among other factors.
• To check the seat allotment, candidates have to log in again after locking their preferences.

Step 5: Selection

After the allotment of seats, candidates will have three options.

• Acceptance of Seat Allotment- Candidates who accept their SMFWBEE seat allotment 2023 must pay INR 15000 as admission fees via an online payment mechanism. An allotment letter will appear on the screen once the payment has been completed. The candidate must report to the allotted venue for document verification. Please be aware that the inability to produce the original documents may result in the cancellation of the candidature.
• Rejection of Seat Allotment- Any candidate who fails to accept the allotment before the last date will be considered rejected.
• Upgradation of Seat Choice- Candidate must pay INR 15,000 as an admission fee and wait for re-allocation of seats on vacant seats owing to rejection of seats by others in the same round of counselling.

Guidelines For SMFWBEE Counselling 2023

Candidates appearing for the SMFWBEE Counselling 2023 process are advised to read the following guidelines.

• The list of participating institutes, SMFWBEE total seat 2023 availability, code of institutes, and the reservation policy will be available on the official website of The State Medical Faculty of West Bengal.
• Candidates are requested to read the information bulletin properly before appearing for the SMFWBEE Counselling 2023 round.
• Admission to Courses for the session will be made on a merit basis and SMFWBEE total seat matrix 2023.
• Only eligible candidates, as per the eligibility criteria laid down by the institute will be granted admission. Admission will be forfeited in case of any discrepancy.
• Kindly note that the counselling fee is not refundable in any circumstance.
• Candidates have to deposit the Online registration-cum-Counseling fee through a Payment gateway accessible only through the online application portal. Kindly note that the fee can be deposited in the Bank through Credit/Debit cards and Net Banking. Candidates will have to bear the Bank charges as applicable extra.
• Locking the choices is compulsory for all students. Candidates who fail to do so will be allotted their last saved and filled choices.
• Candidates are advised to take a printout of the SMFWBEE counselling form
• The final result of the SMFWBEE counselling round 2023 will be displayed on the official website as per the schedule provided by the admission authority. Kindly note that the result will not be sent by post.
• Candidates who have been allotted seats will have to pay INR 15000 within the stipulated time frame to secure admission.
• It is compulsory for candidates to produce the original documents for verification. Failing to do so will lead to the cancellation of the candidature.
• The seat allotted to the candidate can be cancelled if the personal data such as Category, subcategory, percentage of marks in qualifying examination, gender, etc., submitted by the candidates at the time of registration is found to be wrong.
• All legal disputes relating to admission will be subject to Courts having jurisdiction in Kolkata only.
• The number of institutes/colleges/sanctioned seats may increase or decrease based upon the approval and affiliation from the State Medical Faculty of West Bengal.

Choice Filling Guidelines for SMFWBEE Counselling 2023

Refer to the following guideline while filling in the choices as part of the counselling process.

• All candidates must participate in the mock choice-filling session organized by the State Medical Faculty of West Bengal.
• Candidates can edit/delete the options as per their choice based on SMFWBEE total seat matrix 2023.
• The 'Add new choice' button is for the addition of a new college.
• 'Remove all choice' is for the removal of all colleges as selected earlier.
• The 'Inter college choice' button is for interchange between two colleges selected. Choose 'College' by clicking in the checkbox 'Select.'
• The 'Edit' button is for changing the college as selected earlier.
• After using the 'Edit' option, there are 'Cancel' and 'Update' buttons in the last. The 'Update' button is for changing the college, while the 'Cancel' button is used to cancel the change or college.
• The 'Delete' button is for removing all colleges selected earlier.
• The 'Up' button can be used to up the serial number of your college by one row above.
• The 'Down' button can be used to down the serial number by one row.
• After completion of the entry, candidates have to click on the 'Save' button to save the choices. Before leaving the website, candidates must save all choices; otherwise, the documents will not be saved.

Documents Required During the SMFWBEE Counselling 2023

Candidates who have cleared the cutoffs will be called for the counselling round. Read the given list carefully, as failure to produce the required documents may lead to the disqualification of the candidate.
