BA Hindi is a three year course degree where the syllabus is divided into six semesters, i.e., 2 semesters for each year. Any candidate with a 45% aggregate marks is eligible to apply for the course. The BA in Hindi covers topics such as Indian Classical Literature to American Literature, European Classical Literature, etc., along with a vast choice of electives such as Media and Communication Skills, Language and Linguistics, Contemporary India: Women and Empowerment, Academic Writing and Composition, Travel Writing, Autobiography and many more.

The admission is generally conducted on a merit basis, while a few of the colleges conduct a personal interview as well. The top entrance exams conducted for admission into BA Hindi are CUET and BHU UET. The BA Hindi syllabus includes core subjects as well as the elective subjects. The core subjects are the main subjects that form the fundamental knowledge of the chosen specializations. While, the candidates need to select elective subjects as well that are of their interest relevant to the Hindi Literature area.
