KCET Dress Code 2024: Although Karnataka Examination Authority has not mentioned any official rules for KCET 2024 dress code, candidates must follow some general rules for the dress code for KCET exam such as wearing comfortable and simple clothes and avoiding any kind of fancy attire or clothes with large graphics printed on them.

As the KCET 2024 exam will be conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) on Apr 20 and 21, 2024, there are some general rules for dress code for KCET 2024 for Girls and Boys.
The KCET Dress Code 2024 does not contain any such rules that may be difficult for the candidates to follow hence, they are advised to adhere to the general rules that are mentioned below-
KCET Dress Code for Female Candidates
In the KCET Dress Code 2024 for Female candidates, the rules are simple such as wearing simple clothes that are comfortable for candidates in which they feel comfortable.
- Keeping in mind the condition of the weather, a candidate must wear clothes they feel relaxed in.
- The candidate’s hairstyle should be simple, and accessories such as hairbands and fancy clips should be avoided.
- Candidates should wear a simple T-shirt or kurta.
- Although it is not prohibited to wear graphic t-shirts with large prints, it is still advised to wear clothes that are simple and solid.
- Candidates must avoid wearing fancy accessories, such as rings, necklaces, bracelets etc., inside the exam hall.
- Covered boots or knee-high boots are strictly prohibited, and footwear like chappals or sliders are most recommended.

KCET Dress Code for Male Candidates
KCET Dress Code 2024 for Male candidates has been mentioned below-
- Solid patterned light-coloured clothes are highly recommended.
- Knee-length shorts are allowed.
- T-shirts with large graphic prints are not recommended for all candidates as they can be distracting and considered as something fancy.
- Pyjamas, jeans or trousers with pockets are to be avoided.
- Accessories such as sunglasses, bandanas, bracelets, necklaces or multiple rings must be avoided.
- The hairstyle should be kept simple.
- The recommended footwear for Male candidates is the same as for female candidates.

List of Allowed Items in KCET Exam 2024
Below are some personal items that candidates are allowed to carry along at the time KCET Exam 2024.
- Any items that are non-electronic and required for the KCET examination for the candidate’s personal use can be carried by the candidate.
- Surgical face masks.
- Water bottle with a clear and transparent body.
- Hand sanitiser.
- Medicines that are a necessity for a candidate’s health condition.
- Pens with a clear transparent body.

List of Prohibited Items in KCET Exam 2024
The list below contains items that must be avoided by the candidates to carry along at the time of examination.
- Any Bluetooth devices, such as bands and earphones, are prohibited.
- No beverage or food items are allowed in the examination room.
- Any electronic devices, including mobile phones, calculators or smart bands, are strictly prohibited.
- Any kind of metallic items are prohibited, if carried, it will be detected at the time of frisking.
- No unnecessary papers should be carried in the examination. In case of any need for papers, invigilators will provide them in the KCET examination.
- Sharp items such as scissors and knives are not allowed in the examination hall.

KCET 2024 Documents to Carry on Exam Day
Below is the list of documents that candidates must carry at the time of the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) Exam.
- Candidate’s KCET 2024 Admit Card’s coloured hard copy.
- Coloured photocopies of Passport-size photographs of the candidate. (The photograph should be the same as the photograph used in the KCET 2024 Admit Card.
- Candidate’s valid Identification proof such as Pan Card, Aadhaar Card etc.
- Any other document that is mentioned in the KCET admit card must be carried along at the time of the KCET 2024 Exam.
