Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination conducted by a recognized University or as equivalent to the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with English as one of the subjects along with compulsory subjects Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and or Biology (PCB / PCMB) as optional subjects individually.

Lateral Entry

The candidate should have passed D.Pharma course from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India to qualify for admission.

General Requirements for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Admissions 2024

• The applicants will be evaluated on the basis of the merit of the competitive entrance examinations.

• All the admission details will be available on the official website of the Institute.

• The merit list of selected students will be available on the website.

• It is advised to all the selected students to bring all the documents to the Institute for verification.

• Candidates need to pay the fee for the respective courses as per JSS fee structure.

JSS University requires the candidate to have studied English as a compulsory subject and fulfill the following criteria:

• The candidate should have passed Two-year Pre-University examination or equivalent as recognized by JSS University, Mysore with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects.

• The candidates possessing Vocational higher secondary education course conducted by Vocational Higher Secondary Education, with five subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English along with vocational subjects, considered equivalent in 10+2 examinations of a Pre University Course.

• He/ She should have passed two years Diploma from a recognized Board in a subject for which the candidate desires to enroll in the respective course and shall have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, as compulsory subjects.

• The candidate should have passed three years Diploma from a recognized Board in a subject for which the candidate desires to enroll in the respective course, with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects during of the course to qualify for admission.

• In the case of B.Sc Imaging Technology, the candidate shall have passed Pre-University or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics, as principal subjects of study.

Diploma in Dental

Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeswara University requires the candidate to have passed 10+2 examination from a recognized Board.

Diploma in Pharmacy

The candidates must have passed in any of the following examinations with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

• Intermediate examination in Science.

• 10+2 examination stream in Science.

• Pre-degree examination.

• Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examination.

• Reservations for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes candidates will be provided.

• Students need to pass an MBBS examination after pursuing a study in a medical college recognized by the Medical Council of India and has completed a one-year compulsory rotating internship in a teaching institution can apply for this course.

• With a permanent registration of any State, Medical Council students can also apply.

The candidate must have passed any Bachelor's degree in the relevant field to join this course.

Students interested to join this course must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree of minimum three years duration from a recognized University.

• Candidates need to have completed a Master's degree from a University recognized by the UGC with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.

• For SC/ST candidates, the minimum marks required is 50% in aggregate, as per Government of India.

• Applicants must have passed B.Pharm Degree examination of an Indian University approved by Pharmacy Council of India with minimum 55% of marks in aggregate.

• They should have obtained registration with the State Pharmacy Council or should obtain the same within one month from the date of his / her admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be canceled.

• The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Physiotherapy, Nursing from any statutory University in the country or abroad.

• The candidate should have a Postgraduate degree with M.Sc (Nutrition), M.Sc (Nursing), M.Sc (Home Science) Master of Social Work and MA Sociology with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized University to qualify for admission.

Doctor of Pharmacy / Doctor of Pharmacy – Post Baccalaureate

• 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics/ Biology.

• A candidate passed in D.Pharm course from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India.

• Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations.

• Students should complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the course.

• There are seats reserved for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates as per state / central Government. 

B.Pharm Practice

• Students must have passed the Diploma course in Pharmacy from an Institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India.

• A registered pharmacist is also eligible for this course.

• A minimum of four years of pharmacy practice experience in a community or hospital pharmacy with

  • A certificate from the competent authority stating that the candidate is endorsed as a registered pharmacist in the drug license of a pharmacy as proof of practice experience in case of the community pharmacist.

  • A certificate from the Principal / Medical Superintendent / competent person of the Hospital / Health Unit stating that the candidate is working as a pharmacist will be accepted as proof of practice experience in case of hospital pharmacist.

• A ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the employer in the prescribed format is required.

MBBS / Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)

• Students must complete the age of 17 years to get admission to the MBBS course.

• With 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination having physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics or any other elective subjects with English, candidates are eligible.

• The intermediate examination in science of an Indian Board should include physics, chemistry, and biology which shall include a practical test in these subjects and also English as a compulsory subject.

• B.Sc examination with two of physics, chemistry, biology and further that he/she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with physics, chemistry, biology, and English.

• Any other examination equivalent to the intermediate science examination of an Indian Board, taking physics, chemistry, and biology including practical test in each of these subjects and English.

PG Diploma

• Students who have passed final year MBBS degree after pursuing a study in a medical college and completed a one-year compulsory rotating internship in a teaching Institution or other Institutions are eligible to join this course.

• It is important to obtain a permanent registration of any State Medical Council.

Ph.D

• With a minimum of 55% of marks (50% in case of SC/ST/Cat-I) in the qualifying examination students are eligible for admission to this course.

• The qualifying degree has to be registered with the respective Councils, if applicable.

• Candidates with full-time research activities in the concerned department are eligible to be admitted as “Full Time” candidate.

• Candidates working as a regular faculty member in the concerned department are eligible to be admitted as “Part-Time Internal” candidate.

• Regular faculty members with more than ten years of teaching experience of which five years shall be at the postgraduate level and have a minimum of three research publications either as a principal author or as a co-author in any indexed journal are eligible to admit for the Ph.D degree without a guide as “Part-Time Independent Research” Candidate.

• However, such candidates shall seek the guidance/assistance of more than three experts in the concerned field, who shall be members of faculties not below the rank of Associate Professors and possess the qualifications prescribed by the

  Deemed to be University for being a guide.

• Candidates working in a recognized Institution with research agreement with the Deemed to be University are eligible for admission as “Part-Time External” candidate.

DM (Super Speciality Doctorate in Medicine)

• With an MS / MD degree in the relevant field from any recognized University students are eligible for this course.

• It is necessary to complete a one-year compulsory rotating internship in a teaching institution or other institution recognized by the Medical Council of India and has obtained permanent registration of any State Medical Council.

• Students interested to take this course need to pass an MBBS degree after a study in a medical college completed a one-year compulsory rotating internship in a teaching Institution or other Institution recognized by the Medical Council of India.

• Also, they must have obtained permanent registration of any State Medical Council.

• This program is only available for the Urology department at Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeswara University.

• Candidates need to have passed MS in Surgery department from any recognized University.
