CSIR NET Eligibility Criteria 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) releases the CSIR NET 2025 eligibility criteria on the official website at csirnet.nta.nic.in. As per the updated CSIR NET eligibility criteria, candidates must have obtained 55% or more in aggregate in their master's degree. Additionally, the candidates must have pursued their masters in the subject they are appearing for.

CSIR NET Eligibility Criteria 2025 Parameters
All candidates must meet all CSIR NET eligibility criteria 2025 to apply for the exam; the eligibility criteria are divided into three factors, which can be given below.

- All candidates must be a Citizen of India to apply for the CSIR NET exam.
CSIR NET 2025 Educational Qualification
CSIR NET eligibility criteria for 2025 are as follows.
- The candidates must have passed BS-MS/ BS-4 years/ BE/ B.Tech/ B.Pharma/ MBBS with minimum 55% marks for General/ OBC category candidates and 50% marks for SC/ ST/ PwD category candidates.
- The candidates should have passed B.Sc (Hons) or equivalent degree holders or students enrolled in the Integrated MS-Ph.D. program with a minimum of 55% marks for General/ OBC category candidates and 50% marks for SC/ ST/ PwD category candidates.
- Candidates enrolled for M.Sc or having completed 10+2+3 years of the above qualifying examination as on the closing date of online submission of the Application Form, are also eligible to apply in the above subject under the Result Awaited (RA) category on the condition that they complete the qualifying degree with requisite percentage of marks within the validity period of two years to avail the fellowship from the effective date of the award.
- Specification of degrees (whether Bachelor’s or Master’s) as notified by the UGC in its Gazette Notification No. F. 5-1/2013 (CPP-II) dated 5th July 2014, and as amended from time to time, shall apply.
- The eligibility for the Lectureship of NET-qualified candidates will be subject to fulfilling the criteria laid down by UGC. Ph.D.holders who have passed a Master’s Degree before 19th September 1992 with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible to apply for a Lectureship only.
