The NIOS D.EL.Ed exam is conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling, a board set up by the Ministry of Human Resources and Development in 1989 to provide training for untrained teachers at the elementary level. The program aims to help students interested in pursuing a career in education by providing them with the much-needed skills and competencies to excel in their field.

About NIOS D.EL.Ed Exam

The NIOS D.El. Ed exam 2023 is for students aspiring to teach in primary and pre-primary schools across the country. After finishing the two-year course, the diploma certificates will be provided to the to-be teachers to apply for teaching positions in private and government schools. The D.EL.Ed is specifically designed to instill knowledge and training to teachers who want to teach students between the ages of 6-15, classes I to VIII.

NIOS D.EL.Ed 2023 Eligibility Criteria

A candidate must first check if they fulfill the eligibility criteria for NIOS D.EL.Ed exams before applying for the exams.

• Nationality - The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
• Education -The minimum qualification for admission of untrained teachers is 50% marks in aggregate at the senior secondary level from a recognized board in India. Candidates who hold a bachelor’s in arts or sciences can also apply.
• Age Limit - There is no upper age limit for this exam. Candidates must be a minimum of 14 years to apply.
• Reservations - There is a relaxation of 5% given to candidates from SC/ST/OBC/PH categories.

NIOS D.EL.Ed 2023 Application Form

Students will have to first register themselves through the NIOS D.EL.Ed registration form available from the website. Once they have filled the registration form, then they can next proceed to fill the application form.

Steps to fill the application form for the NIOS D.EL.Ed 2023 Exam

• Step 1 - Visit the official website of the NIOS D.EL.Ed..
• Step 2 - Click on the Teacher Section available on the left-hand side of the page.
• Step 3 - Login using the email id and mobile number
• Step 4 - Upload the details, such as scanned photograph, signature, and other documents required in the application form.
• Step 5 - Select the qualifications, general category/reserved category, or take admissions in NIOS.
• Step 6 - Submit the reference and enrollment number of their Class XII admission.
• Step 7 - Pay the application fee.
• Step 8 - Candidates will get an enrollment number to check the status of their payment.

NIOS D.EL.Ed Exam 2023 Application Fee

The NIOS D.EL.Ed application fee is at an affordable cost of INR 250. The payment has to be made through online mode only. Candidates will have to visit the NIOS website to make their payment.

NIOS D.EL.Ed 2023 Admit Card

The NIOS D.EL.Ed Exam Admit Card will be released on the official website. Candidates have to download their admit cards by visiting the website and then entering their date of birth and enrollment number. It is advisable to keep two copies of the admit card after downloading the original. The admit card will contain information about the candidate such as the name, roll number, exam centre, exam timings, subject name, and subject code.

The steps to download the admit card are as follows:

1. Visit the official website of NIOS D.EL.Ed
2. Click on the link on the website stating NIOS D.EL.Ed hall tickets.
3. Enter the enrollment number, date of birth and submit.
4. NIOS D.EL.Ed admit card will then appear on the screen.
5. Download the admit card and take a printout to carry to the examination hall.

NIOS D.EL.Ed 2023 Syllabus

The NIOS D.EL.Ed Exam 2023 syllabus will cover topics studied during Class VIII-XII. The subjects from which MCQs will be asked are General Knowledge, English, Teaching Aptitude, Mathematical Ability, and Logical Reasoning.

NIOS D.EL.Ed 2023 Results

Candidates can check their results by visiting the website and then entering the enrollment number and birthdate. As of now, the date for the declaration of results has not been announced yet. If students want to apply for rechecking or revaluation, they will have to apply separately, preferably within 30 days from the day of declaration of the result

The steps to view the results of the NIOS D.EL.Ed 2023 exam are as follows:

1. Visit the official portal and click on the result notification available on the homepage.
2. Click on the link for NIOS D.EL.Ed 2023 results.
3. Enter the enrollment number and date of birth as mentioned in their admit card.
4. The results will be displayed on the screen.

NIOS D.EL.Ed 2023 Merit List

The date for the release of the NIOS D.El.Ed merit list 2023 has not been announced as yet. The merit list will list those candidates who have qualified for the entrance exam and have received marks higher than the cut-off marks.
