What is AP EDCET?

The full form of AP EDCET is Andhra Pradesh Education Common Entrance Test. The Andhra University, Visakhapatnam conducts the AP EDCET exam, on behalf of APSCHE (Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education). This exam offers admission to the candidates to the B.Ed program. The candidates who qualify for the AP EDCET will be offered admission in B.Ed courses of Andhra Pradesh universities / colleges.

AP EDCET 2021 Eligibility Criteria

The AP EDCET eligibility criteria are set by the Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education, Amravati. Nationality

The candidates belonging to citizens of India are eligible to apply for this exam.

Age Limit

The candidates applying for the exam must be at least 19 years to be eligible for the exam. There is no upper age limit.

Educational Qualification

There are certain educational qualifications that the candidate must fulfill before the application for the AP EDCET exam. Some of which have been discussed below. 

  • The candidates should have completed the final year or must be in the last year pursuing B.Com/BBA/B.A/BCA and B.Sc course.
  • Candidates should have undergraduate and postgraduation degrees with 50% marks.
  • Candidates who have completed B.E/B. Tech (with Physics and Mathematics) with 50% marks are also eligible to apply for the exam.
  • Candidates who have 5 years of the integrated degree course in any relevant subjects can apply for the exam.

AP EDCET 2021 Exam Pattern

AP EDCET is an online examination, conducted at the state level. The medium of the exam paper is in English and Telugu. The AP EDCET exam will be conducted for 2 hours and a total number of 150 questions will be asked. The exam pattern for AP EDCET is tabulated below.

AP EDCET 2021 Counselling

The APSCHE will release the AP EDCET counselling process. The counselling will be conducted based on the merit list of the candidates. The candidates have to be physically present at the counselling centre with the required documents. After the counselling process of the AP EDCET, the candidate will be allotted seats in the colleges. The candidates have to register and pay for the counselling.
