GATE COAP exam dates 2025 have been revised by IISc Bangalore from round 2 onward. The candidates can accept, freeze, retain or reject their allotted seats till May 25, 2025 (6 PM), instead of May 26, 2025 (9 AM).
The COAP registration 2025 could be done from Mar 27, 2025 to May 15, 2025. Candidates with valid GATE results 2025 could apply for the COAP counselling using their scores, DoB, registration number, paper code and name.

GATE COAP Exam Dates 2025
Five main rounds of GATE GATE COAP 2025 counselling will be held by IISc Bangalore. Afterwards, five extra rounds will be held if there are any open seats at the participating colleges. Seats are offered under GATE COAP 2025 depending on GATE 2025 results, cutoffs, and filled preferences.

Important Note
- *No "Retain & Wait" options are available for the 3rd time if the candidate selected "Retain & Wait" on the same (same Institute & Same Program) offer twice in two previous rounds.
- In Rounds 1 to 4, candidates are free to choose between "Accept & Freeze," "Retain & Wait," or "Reject," but "Retain & Wait" cannot be selected more than twice for the same offer.
- "Retain & Wait" must be chosen in each eligible round. If no action is taken in a round, all offers in that round are automatically considered "Rejected."
- Round 5 is a Decisive Round, where you can only choose between "Accept & Freeze" and "Reject."
