APRCET 2022 Counselling
APRCET 2022 counselling registration window was open from Jan 7 - Jan 12, 2023. Phase 1 web options entry window was available from Jan 17 - Jan 19, 2023.
APRCET 2022 counselling seat allotment result for phase 1 was released on Jan 23, 2023. Candidates who are provided seats must report to their allotted colleges between Jan 24 - Jan 28, 2023.
After the results are declared, shortlisted students will be called for an interview, by the concerned university department, within a month. Every candidate must attend the viva voce to start the research work.
Interview Methodology: At the interview, the applicants are required to discuss their research interest/ area through a presentation before a duly constituted interview committee. The committee consists of three members, the Chairman, Board of Studies, Head of the Department, and one senior faculty member from the department nominated by the Vice-Chancellor.
For 20 marks of viva-voce, the following aspects will be considered.
- Whether the candidate possessed the competence for the proposed research.
- Whether their proposed research work could be suitably undertaken at the institution/ college.
- Whether the proposed area of research could contribute to new/ additional knowledge.

APRCET 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates wishing to apply for APRCET 2023 are advised to check the eligibility criteria before registering for the examination. The eligibility criteria are set by the conducting authority - Andhra Pradesh University. The registration of an applicant will be rejected if they do not match any of the eligibility criteria mentioned below.
APRCET 2023 Eligibility Criteria for Full-Time Course
To apply for the full-time courses offered through APRCET 2023, candidates must satisfy the following eligibility criteria.
- Candidates applying for full-time M.Phil or Ph.D programme must have a master's degree or a professional degree which is considered equivalent to master’s degree.
- All the candidates must score a minimum aggregate of 55% marks or an equivalent degree from any foreign college/ institution which is affiliated with an Assessment and Accreditation Agency (NAAC).
- Candidates who belong to SC/ ST/ PwD are given a relaxation of 5% marks, and they had to score a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.
APRCET 2023 Eligibility Criteria for Part-Time Course
Candidates who satisfy the above criteria are admitted as part-time candidates as well, as per the following order. It is based on the service seniority in the given categories.
- Regular faculty working in the university or the postgraduate centres or professional colleges and having completed at least 2 years of service.
- Faculty working in polytechnic/ government or private aided junior colleges and having completed at least 4 years of work experience.
- Faculty/ librarians/ assistant librarians working in any affiliated degree colleges.

APRCET 2023 Application Form
APRCET 2023 application form is expected to be released in the first week of Sep 2023, after the official notification is released, on the official website. The applicants can select only two subjects while applying. For the additional subject, they must pay the additional fee. Note that no subject(s) correction are allowed after applying. Hence, candidates are advised to check their eligibility before applying for the exam.
APRCET 2023 application window for candidates to register for the exam without a late fee will be open after the deadline. The total number of marks allotted for Part-A(Teaching & Research Aptitude) is 90 marks and Part-B(Subject-specific questions) is 90 marks.

What are the different stages of Interview process when the candidate is selected for the APRCET counselling?
The Interview process will consist of Presentation and Oral interview. For presentation, candidates will have to discuss about their research interest and present it infront of a 3 panel committee. After the presentation, candidates will be seated for the oral interview which again consists of 3 panel committee. 20 marks is given to the oral interview which will be added to the marks scored in the APRCET examination
