The minimum eligibility criteria are that the candidate must have cleared 10+2 with minimum qualifying marks from a recognized University for the admission in 2019 in Indian Institute of Technology, [IIT] Bombay.

Admission Process for B.Tech

  • The admission to the college is done on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the JEE-main exam conducted by the center.

  • The admission to the courses is done on the basis of the merit list of the JEE Main 2019 appeared candidates and the reservation criteria set by the government of India in the year of 2019.

  • We will have to crack IIT-JEE with a top rank. Students in general category will get CS in IIT Bombay only if their rank is around 60. It is the most preferred course and college in India. There is high competition to get into CS.
  • We have to crack the IIT - JEE exam to get an admission.
  • Cut off is usually around 60-70 rank for general category students this course. For other category students, it might vary. For,OBC it is around 300-400.  For SC,ST's is around 500-1000.

  • First of all, students have to crack jee advance with good rank nearly about AIR-1000 to get admission in civil Engineering Branch in IIT Bombay.To appear in jee advance exam students have to first qualify the jee mains exam and as well as fulfill the board cutoff criteria fixed by jee committee.The students should satisfy at least one of the following two criteria for admission to IITs :
  • Must have secured at least 75% aggregate marks in the Class XII (or equivalent) Board examination.
  • The aggregate marks for SC, ST and PwD candidates should be at least 65%.

The above criteria may be different for different state board examinations.

For jee mains exams, students have only three number of attempts and for jee advance students have only two attempts, one in the same year of appearing for board and other is on the next year.

  • To get civil in IIT Bombay one should get rank within 1300 in general category and 750 in OBC category in jee advance exam.

  • CS 207  ( Discrete structures ) is a core course in Computer Science stream for 2nd year student at IIT Bombay . This course has no pre-requisite but this course is pre-requisite for many upcoming courses in our stream.

 

  • There are no cutoffs or eligibility criteria as this is a core course which every student Pursuing B.Tech in computer science has to complete.

  • The eligibility for the course I am enrolled in was bachelors in science/engineering, and there was a centralized admission system based on the all India rank obtained in the qualifying entrance examination.
  • I took the examination called JAM (Joint Admission Test for M.Sc.) for selection in this course.
  • For admission here the cutoff rank was AIR 275 in our batch. Typically, the cutoff is below AIR 300.

  •  The eligibility criteria for ITT Bombay is to clear the IIT JEE Mains and Advanced exams are conducted every year . You have to clear JEE Mains to be able to write the JEE Advanced .
  • After getting a decent score/rank you will get the admission any of the eleven IITs.

  • To be eligible for IIT BOMBAY for BTech an individual should have to qualify IIT JEE advance conducted by CBSE with a good percentile of marks
  • Cut off for mains is about 100 for general and it then reduces as per caste.

IIT Bombay gives admission only on merit. It has 50% reserved seats. Students should clear the minimum cutoff of JEE ADVANCED exam to enter IIT. The cutoff for my course went to around 1500 rank in general.

The candidate must clear the JEE MAIN exam and must have passed the 12th with minimum of 75% marks from a recognized institute. The cutoff rank must be below INR 1500.

JEE ADVANCED is the entrance exam. The cutoff was very high I don't remember though but it was something around 124 out of 360.

The students have to clear JEE MAIN and Advance for the admission at IIT. The cut-off for my course was air 1076 for the OBC category.
