K.J Somaiya Vidyavihar Complex was founded in 1983 by the late Shri K.J. Somaiya (1902-1999). Somaiya Vidyavihar University, Mumbai, is a self-financed, private university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

• Candidate should have passed HSC or its equivalent examination from India, with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects (Chemistry/Biotechnology/ Biology/Technical Vocational subjects) and obtained at least 45% marks in the above subjects taken together.
•  The candidate should have appeared for the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) 2024/ SAT 2025, JEE-Main (Session 1 and 2)2025, Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2025, MHT-CET 2025, and PERA-CET 2025 and should obtain a minimum of 50 percentile & above.

M.Tech Eligibility Criteria

•  The candidate should be an Indian National. He should have passed a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field of Engineering and Technology with at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks in case of persons with disability) from any of the following categories of institutions *All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved institutions *University Grants Commission (UGC) approved Universities *Central Government approved institutions *State Government approved institutions*University recognized by All India Council of Universities.
• For sponsored candidates, a minimum of two years of full-time work experience in a registered firm/ company/industry/ educational and/ or research institute/ any Government Department or Government Autonomous Organization in the relevant field in which admission is being sought.
• The candidates should have obtained a non-zero positive score on the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2025, 2024, 2023) conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology or obtained a positive score in appropriate PERA CET 2025 for M Tech or CUET 2025.

PhD Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates for admission to the Ph.D. program shall have a Master's degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent.
