Jharkhand scholarship is available to students permanently residing in the state. The State Government of Jharkhand and several private organizations offer financial aid to students from class X through several Jharkhand scholarship schemes. The Government's objective is to encourage deserving candidates to pursue higher education without facing financial challenges. The tentative date to apply for the Jharkhand scholarship 2023 post-matric scheme was March 17, 2023.

Jharkhand Scholarship List

The State Government and other private organisations offer Jharkhand scholarships to students from different backgrounds. Therefore, candidates studying class X and above at government recognised institutions could apply to the Jharkhand scholarships. Listed below are popular scholarships available to Jharkhand domiciles:

• Post-Matric Jharkhand Scholarship
• BCCL Ke Laal and BCCL Ki Laadli
• Combined Counselling Board Scholarship (CCB)

Post-Matric Jharkhand Scholarship

The candidates studying within and outside the state can apply for the post-matric Jharkhand state scholarship. The State Government offers this scheme to benefit the SC/ ST and BC students from class XI to postgraduate level. Eligible candidates can apply for the post-matric scheme through the E Kalyan portal. 

Eligibility Criteria

The Post-matric Jharkhand scholarship eligibility criteria are as follows:

• The candidates should be domiciled in Jharkhand.
• They should belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (Scheduled Tribe) or Backward Classes (BC) category.
• The students should have cleared the class X board exam. Therefore, students pursuing class XI to postgraduate level are eligible for the post-matric Jharkhand government scholarship scheme.
• The annual family income should not exceed INR 2,50,000 and INR 1,50,000 for the BC and SC/ST categories, respectively.

Benefits

The selected students will receive the post-matric Jharkhand scholarship amount:

• The government will award INR 7,500 as a maintenance allowance to the scholars.
• In addition, they will also receive the INR 1,000 as an Adhoc grant.

Interested candidates should submit their applications for the Post-matric scheme by March 17, 2023 (tentatively).

BCCL Ke Laal and BCCL Ki Laadli Jharkhand Scholarship

The Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) provides the BCCL ke laal and BCCL ki laadli Jharkhand scholarship to students of class X. In addition, the organisation will train aspiring candidates for competitive exams with no charges. The aim is to help deserving candidates prepare better for the exams.

Eligibility Criteria

The BCCL ke laal and BCCL ki laadli Jharkhand government scholarship eligibility criteria are as follows:

• The candidates should be Jharkhand domiciles or children of the BCCL employees.
• They should be appearing for the class X board exam and should score at least 60% marks.
• The family income will not exceed INR 6,00,000 per annum.

Benefits

This government organisation offers free training services to students appearing for competitive exams to enrol in IIT, NIT, etc. They will conduct online training through video conferencing and online lectures.

Combined Counselling Board Scholarship (CCB)

The Combined Counselling Board (CCB) has launched the CCB scholarship. The program is available to students pursuing diploma courses to those pursuing postgraduate degrees. Therefore, the CCB Jharkhand scholarship covers students pursuing a polytechnic diploma, engineering, pharmaceutical, hotel management, biotech, and management courses that can apply to this scheme. The combined counselling board even reserves 20% of the scholarship to the SC/ ST and OBC students. 

Eligibility Criteria

• The candidates should be pursuing one of the following courses to apply for the CCB Jharkhand state scholarship:
• Polytechnic Diploma
• Nursing
• Pharmaceutical
• Medical and Paramedical
• Management
• Education
• Bachelor's and Marsters (in any discipline)
• Those pursuing a course through the distance education mode can also apply to the scholarship.
• The candidates should have secured between 40% to 50% marks in the previous qualifying exam. However, the eligible marks will vary according to the courses.

Benefits

The CCB will reimburse up to 80% of the student's tuition fees. They will additionally provide a hostel fee concession to aid their educational expenses.

How to Apply for the Jharkhand Scholarships?

The candidates apply for the Jharkhand scholarships through online and offline modes. Those applying for the post-matric Jharkhand scholarship can apply online through the E Kalyan and CCB scholarship on the official CCB portal. However, the BCCL ke laal and BCCL ki laadli Jharkhand scholarship is an offline application. Given below are the details of the application process on different portals:

For Post-Matric Jharkhand Scholarship Scheme

The candidates who are domiciled in Jharkhand and studying class XI to postgraduate level can apply to this scheme on the E Kalyan Jharkhand scholarship portal. It is a web-based application launched by the state government. Additionally, they can apply and track the Jharkhand scholarship status check on the E Kalyan portal. The process to apply for the program is as follows:

Step 1: The candidates should visit the official E Kalyan Jharkhand scholarship portal.

Step 2: They should click on the student login tab available at the top of the homepage.

Step 3: The first time applicants should fill in the details under the sign-up tab. After providing the details, they should click on create an account.

Note: The applicants should provide a valid mobile number as they'll receive the E Kalyan login credentials on their registered mobile number.

Step 4: After successfully creating an account, the students will receive the E Kalyan login credentials. 

Step 5: Next, they should log in with the credentials, fill in the post-matric scholarship E Kalyan Jharkhand scholarship 2023 application form and click on the Save button

Step 6: Lastly, the applicants should print out the completed application form by clicking on the print button, sign it and upload the required documents in the prescribed format by March 17, 2023 (tentatively).

For BCCL Ke Laal and BCCL Ki Laadli Jharkhand Scholarship Scheme

The application for the BCCL ke laal and BCCL ki laadli Jharkhand state scholarship is offline. The candidates can click on the link to download the Jharkhand scholarship application form and duly fill it with the correct details. Additionally, they should attach photocopies of the required documents to the application form and obtain a signature from the personnel officer, AM, president of respective areas or representative of HRD of its BCCL organisation. 

For Combined Counselling Board Scholarship (CCB) Scheme

The students who want to obtain benefits from the Combined Counselling Board (CCB) can apply online. First, they should fill in the application form, choose one of the eligible courses under the CCB scheme, and click the submit button. After submitting the application form, they should download the application receipt for further reference. Given below is the application process for the Jharkhand scholarship scheme:

Step 1: The candidates should click on the CCB Jharkhand scholarship official portal. 

Step 2: Next, they should click on the apply now tab available on top of the homepage.

Step 3: The students should fill in the application form with the correct details and select the eligible course.

Step 4: After cross-checking the application form, they should click on the submit application form button.

Step 5: Lastly, they should download the CCB Jharkhand scholarship application receipt for further use.
