Google Inc. provides Google scholarships in India to students who aspire to pursue a career in computer science, engineering, and technology. Therefore, the Google India scholarships offer financial assistance and conduct workshops and training for aspiring students. Several Google scholarship programs are available to candidates from class V

Students who qualify for the scholarship program will be rewarded INR 5,00,000. The Generation Google scholarship 2023-24 last date is December 10, 2024 (tentatively).

Google Scholarship 2023-24 Overview

Every year, students from all over the world can apply to Google's scholarship programs. Udacity-Google Scholarship

The Udacity scholarship is one of the most sought-after Google India scholarships. Through this scholarship program, the students can enhance their skills and advance their careers as Android or web developers.

It includes a top-notch curriculum developed by experts from Google and Udacity. The selected candidates will be placed either at the beginner or intermediate levels, depending on their skills and experience. In the end, the best students will get selected for a full scholarship to study one of the nano degree programs. 

Eligibility Criteria

The students should meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • The Indian nationals can apply to this Google scholarship.
  • They should be over 18 years of age.

Scholarship Rewards

The selected candidates can access the online courses available on Udacity. The scholarship has two parts:

Phase I - In the first phase, the selected 50,000 candidates will access one of the Udacity courses for three months. They will receive support from mentors and community managers from Udacity. The online courses available for phase I students are:

  • Intro to HTML + CSS
  • Offline Web Applications
  • Android Basics or Developing Android Apps 

Phase II - The best 5,000 students from phase I will receive an additional six-month scholarship to one of the four nano degree programs. The scholarship will include project reviews from experts, mentorship, and community networks. The four nano degree programs available in phase II are:

  • Front-End Web Developer
  • Mobile Web Specialist
  • Android Basics Nanodegree
  • Android Developer

Women TechMakers Scholars Program

The women tech makers scholars inspire and empower Indian women in the technology sector. It was formerly known as the Google Anita Borg Memorial scholarship program.

Eligibility Criteria

Interested women should fulfill the following criteria to be eligible to apply for this Google scholarship:

  • The candidates should be Indian nationals.
  • They should be studying at a recognized university.
  • Students pursuing the final year of undergraduate can also apply to this Google scholarship program.
  • They should be pursuing computer science, computer engineering, or any other technical courses.
  • They should have an excellent academic record.

Google Venkat Panchapakesan Memorial Scholarship

Google provides the Venkat Panchapakesan Memorial Scholarship to candidates passionate about computer science and engineering. The selected students will receive financial aid to cover their tuition costs.

The organizers will invite the selected candidates to visit the YouTube headquarters in California. Additionally, they will get an opportunity to submit their proposal and receive funding to invest in the growing computer science.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria are as follows:

  • The candidates should be Indian nationals.
  • Undergraduate and graduate students who enrolled in a recognized institution can apply for this Google scholarship.
  • They should be studying computer engineering, computer science, or any course related to technology.
  • The past recipients of any Google scholarship, including the Venkat Panchapakesan Memorial Scholarship, are not eligible to apply.

Scholarship Rewards

The selected candidates will receive the following benefits:

  • USD 750 towards education expenses.
  • USD 225 to invest in growing computer science in the local community.
  • Invitation to visit the YouTube headquarters in San Bruno, California, USA.

Google Conference and Travel Scholarships

The Google conference and travel scholarship allow the candidates to find connections in the industry, network with associates, and build a technology career. The scholarship offers conferences in the technology industry and related fields. The most qualified candidate will receive the scholarship based on their application review. 

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who require travel funds should meet the following criteria:

  • They should be enrolled in a recognized university in India.
  • A world-class computer science conference should accept the candidate's paper. 
  • The conference program should receive the candidate's report for oral presentation. 
  • The Google scholarship will not consider workshop papers for the Google conference and travel scholarship program.

Note: The conference should accept the paper for publication and oral presentation. 

Scholarship Rewards

Once the candidate's applications are approved, the organizers will transfer the scholarship funds to the university, and the candidates can claim the expenses. The rewards are as follows:

  • The scholars will receive funds ranging from USD 1,000 to USD 3,000 towards registration, accommodation, and other costs related to the conference.

Doodle 4 Google India Contest

The Doodle Four Google India contest provides scholarship funds to students who create a doodle based on their inner strength. The candidates can design the doodles using any materials (from crayons to clay). They should also write what their doodles mean and how they represent their inner strength.

The candidates should fill in the details and submit the Google scholarship form with their parent's or guardians' signatures. The winner's doodle will be featured on the Google homepage. The judges will select the doodles based on the following criteria:

  • Artistic skills
  • How the letters are used in the Google logo
  • Candidate's unique approach to the doodle 
  • Representation of the contest theme in the artwork and written statement

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Students studying class I to class X can apply to the contest.
  • They should have parents/guardians and the teacher's approval
  • Employees, contractors, interns, officials, representatives, and affiliates can not enter the contest.

Scholarship Rewards

The candidates will receive the following benefits:

  • The group winners will receive trophies, a medal of recognition, and certificates.
  • The national finalists will receive a certificate of achievement.
  • The winner will receive INR 5,00,000 as a college scholarship and INR 2,00,000 in technology award for their school. Also, the candidate's doodle will be featured on the Google homepage.

Google India Code to Learn Contest

Google has initiated this contest to encourage young minds to excel in coding. The candidates should be Indian nationals to apply for the competition. Students from class V to class XII can apply to this Google scholarship contest.

The parents or teachers can submit the Google Scholar registration form and projects on their behalf. The winners of the Google India code to learn contest will be announced on the official website.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria are as follows:

  • Students in class V to class VIII should design projects using scratch or app inventors. Scratch or app inventors are tools created by MIT.
  • Students in class IX to class X should design projects using scratch or app inventors. They can also create machine learning projects using Google's cloud autoML.
  • Students in classes XI and XII should create machine learning projects using Google Cloud autoML

Note: Students between classes XI and XII creating scratch and app inventor projects will not be accepted. 

Scholarship Rewards

The selected candidates will receive the following rewards:

  • A certificate of achievement
  • A Chromebook laptop or an equivalent gift
