Located at Srinivas Campus at Valachil, Srinivas Institute of Technology [SIT] is a unit of Srinivas Group of Colleges, Mangalore. It was established in 2006 and is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University [VTU], Belgaum. It holds recognition from the All India Council for Technical Education [AICTE], New Delhi. In fact, Srinivas Institute of Technology was established with 4 engineering streams. The students have to fulfill the eligibility criteria for Srinivas Institute of Technology admissions.

The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Engineering, MBA, and MCA. SIT has made its reputation as one of the best, self-financed, engineering colleges in Karnataka for its infrastructural facilities. The college has Internet Connectivity with a speed of 4 MBPS (1:1) on the campus. Moreover, it has 500 computers and the Seating capacity of more than 750  to conduct co-curricular activities of the college. The College has been approved to the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).
