NATA rank list 2023 consists of candidates' positions in order of merit or marks scored in the National Aptitude Test (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture (CoA) in three phases for 2023. The examination is conducted for admissions to undergraduate architecture programmes. 

As one of the revered and toughest entrance examinations, NATA assesses cognitive, visual perception and aesthetic sensitivity skills along with logical reasoning and critical thinking ability. By creating questions that cater to measure the aptitude of the applicant for the study of architecture, NATA examination aims to select the best candidates for the field of architecture.

NATA Rank List 2023 Overview

The NATA rank of a candidate is the position they're at among the others who have taken the exam. The higher a candidate's marks, the higher their rank will be. The NATA rank list consists of the ranks of the qualified candidates from the highest to the lowest. The NATA rank is calculated solely based on the merit of the candidate in the NATA examination and class 12 board examination. 

What is a Good Rank in NATA?

A good rank in NATA is the aim of all candidates. The candidates will proper preparation can only score these marks. The NATA 2023 ranking parameters are as follows:

How to Calculate NATA Rank 2023?

The NATA rank of the candidates, which decides their position in the merit list, is calculated following the steps below. 

  1. The board percentage is calculated out of 100. 
  2. Half the total NATA score and the board percentage out of 100 are added together. 
  3. The total is then divided by 2. 
  4. The result is the merit score of the candidate. 
  5. The candidate’s rank in the merit list depends on their merit score. 

NATA Merit List 2023

The NATA merit list 2023 will comprise the candidates’ ranks ranging from the highest rank to the lowest. 

For a candidate to be eligible for the NATA 2023 counselling, they must have scored the minimum qualifying marks set by the CoA. 

NATA Merit List Tie Breaking Criteria 2023

The possibility of more than one candidate scoring the same marks is high. More people will compete for a particular rank on the NATA rank list. In instances like that, the NATA merit list tie-breakers with the following parameters resolve the tie. 

  • Overall marks obtained in Mathematics.
  • More correct answers are in the Mathematics section.
  • Overall marks in the General Aptitude Test.
  • Less wrong answers in the General Aptitude Test.
  • Date of Birth- one with an early birth date will be considered.
  • After applying the abovementioned standard, the same rank will be allotted to the respective candidates if a tie still exists. 

NATA Cutoff 2023 

The NATA cutoff is of two types. 

  1. The first is the cutoff set by the CoA, which the candidates should mandatorily meet to qualify for the NATA 2023 counselling. 
  2. The second is the cutoffs set by the individual participating institutes that the candidate must have achieved to be eligible for admission to a particular institution. 

NATA Cutoff Determining Factors 

The NATA cutoff determining factors tend to change every year since it’s based on varying factors, which are as follows. 

  1. Seat availability 
  2. NATA exam difficulty level
  3. Number of candidates who appeared for the NATA exam 
  4. Candidates’ performance in the exam 
  5. Previous years’ cutoff trends. 

NATA Results and Qualifying Marks 2023

The NATA results were declared by the conducting authority for all three phases of the examination. The qualifying marks of NATA 2023 are as follows. 

  1. In the MCQ portion, a minimum of 25% must be attained. 
  2. In the drawing portion, a minimum of 25% must be earned. 

The exam is conducted for a total of 200 marks. 

The CoA decides the total qualifying marks after considering the post-exam statistics. The overall qualifying score of NATA 2021 was 70. 

NATA Scorecard 2023

The NATA 2023 scorecard is how each candidate will receive their results. The scorecard particulars are the determinants of the candidate’s admission to institutions. The information available on the scorecard are as follows. 

  1.  Name of the candidate
  2.  Roll number 
  3.  Registration number 
  4.  Section wise marks
  5.  Total marks the candidate has scored 
  6.  Percentile marks 
  7.  Merit the candidate has secured

What After NATA Results 2023?

What after the NATA results are announced is a question all the candidates will have. To answer you all, the events that come after the declaration of results are as follows. 

  1. The minimum cutoff marks that the candidates have to qualify are released within a week of the announcement of the results. 
  2. The dates of NATA 2023 counselling will be announced and held for admissions to the participating institutions. 
  3. The merit score and rank of the candidates will play a crucial role in the candidates’ acceptance into the institutions.
