The St. Aloysius College, Mangalore was founded by the Jesuit father’s in 1880 and is managed by the Mangalore Jesuit Educational Society. It is one of the premier institutions that offer quality education to its students. It has been granted autonomy by UGC in 2007. It got a community college status in 2013. The St. Aloysius has been awarded DDU Kaushal Kendra by the Government of India. It has been recognized by UGC as a ‘College with potential for excellence’. It is awarded the ‘Star Status’ under the Dept. of Biotechnology, Government of India.

St. Aloysius offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the fields of Arts, Science, Social Work, and Commerce. It also provides 1 year PG Diploma courses. It also provides an MBA program at its new campus known as Aloysius Institute of Management and Information Technology (AIMIT) which was set up in 2008. St. Aloysius offers a good learning atmosphere for the students. They focus on the overall personality development of the students along with their skill and language development. It also offers many add-on programs to improve the employability of the students. They also provide CPT/GATE/NET/KSET/SLET coaching to help the students clear these exams.
