NEET Photo Size: (Passport/Postcard) Format, Requirements

The National Testing Agency has notified of the key specifics required regarding the NEET photo size upload in the NEET application form 2023. Essentially, NTA requires candidates to upload a Postcard size photo for NEET 2023 in 4”x6” dimensions and within 10 KB to 200 KB. Meanwhile, the Passport size photo for NEET 2023 must be with 10 KB to 200 KB when uploading it on the portal.

All details have been made available by the NTA in the information brochure of NEET. Moreover, candidates can now upload the NEET photo by following the NEET 2023 photo requirements.

Introduction - NEET Photo Size Format 2023

Previously, NEET aspirants were unclear about the specifications of the NEET Photo size. For example, if NEET candidates upload a NEET postcard-size photo in the wrong dimensions, then the authorities will reject their photo for NEET 2023. Since candidates cannot process their NEET application forms without uploading the correct NEET photo size, they must upload the NEET photo in the specified dimensions to move to the application fee payment stage. Also, if authorities find discrepancies in the NEET passport size photo and the post card size photograph for NEET, their applications will be rejected.

Postcard Size Photo for NEET Admit Card 2023

All NEET registered applicants can access the NEET 2023 admit card from the official website along with a self-declaration form. Importantly, candidates must affix a postcard-size photo for the NEET admit card, maintaining the same specifications as the NEET photo size. Candidates must fix a coloured postcard size photo for NEET 2023 in 4x6 dimensions. Authorities require the candidate's signature across the NEET postcard-size photo on the left-hand side.

Specifications for Upload

Likewise, the NTA has mentioned certain NEET photo size guidelines, which candidates must maintain and follow during the upload procedure.

• Candidates must have clicked the NEET photo on or after Jan 1, 2023.
• NEET Passport size photo with Name and Date of the photograph clicked.
• Candidates must not be wearing any caps and goggles in the passport and post card size photograph for NEET.
• NEET Photo must focus on 80% face coverage, with visible ears and other features on a white background.
• Spectacles are permitted if the candidate is a daily wearer.
• However, NTA will not accept any polaroid or computer-generated photographs.
• Unclear photographs will be rejected.
• NEET photographs do not need to be attested. NTA has advised candidates to keep 6 to 8 Nos. of Passport size photos for NEET 2023 and 4 to 6 NEET post card size photograph on white background.
• In the event of faulty or misleading photograph submissions with altered facial features and fabrication, the candidates will face serious consequences, possibly leading to the cancellation of their candidature.
• Also, if the applicant uploads someone else’s photograph, it will be considered an Unfair means case, and criminal proceedings might follow per the law of the land. 

Candidates must note that authorities will use a NEET passport size photograph and NEET postcard size photo in the NEET application form, attendance sheet at the examination centre, counselling, and admission. Hence, candidates must keep aside 6 to 8 NEET passport size photographs and 4 to 6 post card photo size for NEET events.

NEET Photo Correction 2023

If the candidates fail to upload the NEET photo size in the required specifications or do not meet other guidelines, then the authorities will intimate the faulty applications by sending them emails on their registered email ID and number to correct the photos. Likewise, candidates can use the NEET application correction window to make changes in their NEET postcard size photo. 

Steps to Correct NEET Photo Size

Applicants can follow the below instructions to make the necessary changes in their NEET postcard size photo using the correction window online.

1. Firstly, candidates must visit the official website.
2. Next, they must log in using their application number and password.
3. Further, applicants must select the “Upload Photograph/Signature” option from the screen.
4. Then, candidates must upload the NEET photo size per the specifications.
5. Applicants must verify if all other particulars match.
6. Now, candidates must click on submit.
7. Authorities will next send an OTP to the candidates on their registered email ID and number.
8. Enter the OTP.
9. A NEET 2023 correction slip will be available for download.
