Goa NEET Merit List 2023 - Goa MBBS Rank List @dte.goa.gov.in

Goa NEET Merit List 2023 is integral to the admission of candidates to MBBS, BDS and other medical courses to the state's medical colleges and universities. 

The state quota seats of 85% will be allotted to candidates by the Directorate of Technical Education, Bardez. The remaining 15% of seats will be reserved under the All India Quota, through which the DGHS will admit candidates. The state of Goa offers 180 MBBS and 50 BDS seats to candidates.

Goa NEET Merit List 2023 Dates

The candidates who have achieved the minimum required score and above in the NEET 2023 examination will be ranked according to their performance in the Goa NEET merit list 2023. The candidates who make it to the Goa merit list will be eligible for admission to the state's medical and dental colleges.

The merit list for Goa NEET 2023 is yet to be released. The dates will be updated according to the official announcement. 

Goa NEET Merit List 2023 Eligibility

Candidates must qualify for certain eligibility criteria to participate in the Goa NEET merit list 2023. Listed below are the minimum eligibility requirements for admission to MBBS courses:

• Candidates must be 17 years or above to apply for Goa NEET admission.
• Further, they must have passed 12th from any recognized board, with 50% for the general candidates and 45% for the reserved category.
• Additionally, they must have pursued Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects.
• Candidates must be permanent residents of Goa and have residential proof. 
• Candidates whose parents or grandparents have been residents of Goa for the past five years can also participate. 
• Non-Resident Indians//Persons of Indian Origin/ Overseas Citizens of India (NRI/PIO/OCI) candidates can apply for Goa NEET admission.

How to Check Goa NEET 2023 Merit List? 

Once the conducting authority declares the merit list, candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to check and download the Goa NEET Merit List 2023:

1. Visit the official website of the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Bardez, at dte.goa.gov.in
2. Under the ‘News section’, click on the Goa NEET merit list option. 
3. The merit list will open as a PDF
4. You can either download the PDF or check online for the application number, exam roll number and name in the PDF
5. The candidate is deemed eligible and can proceed to the Goa NEET counselling rounds if the candidate's name is on the merit list.

Goa NEET Merit List 2023 - Tie Breaking Criteria 

The following tie-breaking criteria resolve a tie when two or more people compete for a rank.

1. The candidate with better Biology marks will be considered first. 
2. If the tie still exists, Chemistry marks will be considered next.
3. The candidate with fewer incorrect responses will be given the higher rank if the tie still does not get resolved after using the second criterion. 
4. The older candidate gets to keep the higher rank if the tie exists even after following the above three criteria.

NEET 2023 Cutoff 

The Goa NEET 2023 cutoff will be released after the declaration of results. The previous years' cutoffs are given in the following table to understand the cutoff trends better. 

What After Goa NEET Merit List 2023?

After the release of the NEET merit list for Goa in 2023, candidates proceed to the counselling and admission process for medical and dental colleges in Goa. The process that follows is mentioned below:

1. Counselling Registration: Candidates who find their name in the Goa NEET 2023 merit list are eligible for admission to medical or dental colleges must first register for the NEET counselling process. The official authorities will announce the specific registration dates and procedures.
2. Choice Filling and Locking: Once registered, candidates must fill in their preferred colleges and courses. Based on their Goa NEET merit list and availability of seats, they can select their desired options.
3. Seat Allotment: The authorities will conduct the seat allotment process after the choice-filling period ends. Seats will be allocated to candidates based on their NEET rank, choices filled, and availability of seats. The allotted seat will be based on the candidate's merit position in NEET and their category.
4. Document Verification: Candidates allotted a seat must report to the designated verification centres with the required documents. These documents typically include a NEET scorecard, admit card, counselling registration form, educational certificates, identity proof, etc. The verification process ensures the authenticity of the candidate's information.
5. Admission Confirmation and Reporting to the College: Once the document verification is completed, candidates need to confirm their admission by paying the required fees within the specified time frame. Failure to pay the fees within the given deadline may lead to the cancellation of the allotted seat. After the fee payment, candidates must report to the allotted college within the given timeframe. The candidates who have secured a place on the merit list will be eligible to attend the NEET 2023 counselling. The candidates will have to choose their preferred courses and colleges. Based on merit, the candidates will be offered admission.
