PwD Certificate for NEET 2024: The PwD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) certificate is an essential document for individuals with disabilities taking the NEET exam. As, according to the rules of the National Medical Commission (NMC), individuals who have a NEET UG PwD certificate are given a 5% reservation in seats across the general, general-EWS, OBC, SC, and ST categories.
This reservation is provided horizontally in undergraduate courses through NEET UG. The certificate is valid only for students with disabilities. The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has announced the start of counseling for MCC UG-2024 for PwD (Persons with Disabilities) and CW (Children of War) categories. The registration portal for these categories is now open.
Candidates can download the PWD certificate for NEET 2024 from the official website. After downloading and completing the disability certificate, candidates must visit one of these 16 designated medical institutes to have it validated for MCC UG-2024 counseling.

Eligibility Criteria for PwD Certificate for NEET 2024
Students must check eligibility conditions prior to be eligible for the PwD certificate for NEET 2024.
- Any form of physical or mental impairment that restricts an individual's ability to function is considered a handicap. According to the PwBD Act of 2016, an applicant can only receive a PwBD certificate if they are at least 40% disabled.
- Students must have completed the class 12th with a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate and with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the compulsory subjects from a recognized board.
Note: PwBD credential holders have access to scribes for the NEET exam. In addition to the three hours and twenty minutes allotted for the entrance exam, holders of the NEET PwD certificate receive an additional hour and five minutes.

Candidates can follow the steps given below to obtain the PwD certificate for NEET 2024.
- Go to the official website of NEET, neet.ntaonline.in.
- Navigate to the information brochure in the menu.
- Now, students must choose the relevant language of the NEET information brochure 2024 either Hindi or English and download the same.
- Then, take a printout of the PwD Certificate in the NEET information brochure.
- Applicants should visit the hospital allotted by the NTA to get it attested.
- After that, upload the certificate during the NEET registration process.
- Students must save and keep a printout of the PwD certificate for NEET 2024 for future reference.
